Burgers on the Barbie

Today, this lucky dog had a grass fed beef burger with cheese on top. It was so delicious I thought I was dreaming. When Sierra and I first smelled them grilling we never thought they would taste as good as they smelled. Oh how we were so wrong.

Tahoe Recap

Sierra and I had the entire hiking area to ourselves.

Let's...

...race!!!

We stopped for lunch at Burger Me before heading home. Auntie Flo and Mommy were very excited.

Wow, Mommy, I hope you will share your grass fed hamburger and sweet potato fries.

So long Lake Tahoe, we'll be back soon.

Where's the beef?

It's almost in my tummy! It's that time of year again. About once a year we order one quarter of a steer. Daddy brought home over 250 lbs. of grass fed beef tonight. It smells so good!

We can hardly wait to eat it!

Fun on a Friday

Today is my 4th barkday!!! Mommy made grass fed filet mignons for dinner (they also had Ruth's Chris au gratin potatoes and salad). Here I am patiently waiting for the pawparazzi to take a billion pictures.
Ok, that's enough. I'm going in for my filet mignon. It was delicious. Sierra thought so too.
Here's my barkday cake and presents. I'm smart enough to know that I need to stay away from those candles until someone blows them out for me.
I got to lick the frosting off my homemade Three Dog Bakery barkday cake. (Sierra tries to eat the candles so she has to wait for the cake).
Boy was she excited!!! Great job on my barkday cake, Mommy!!! It's delicious!
I decided to play with my new duck first. It makes the funnest noise.
Thanks for a pawesome and fun 4th barkday, Mommy, Daddy, and Sierra!!!

Thankful Thursday

Look at this grass fed beef marrow bone surrounded by tons of meat. Auntie Flo saved this for us. Sierra and I have been getting a few pieces every day. We are very thankful.
Mommy got an entire grocery bag filled with rosemary. It's from Auntie Flo and Uncle Tim's garden. Mommy says this should last a really, really long time.
It's almost fall and the weather must be confused because the temperatures feel the middle of summer. We are keeping our paws crossed for cooler temps soon!

Golfing...

...on a Saturday. Mommy and Daddy left early this morning to go to worship practice. A few hours later, Grandpa said the magic words, "Let's go!" We jumped into his truck and we were off! We had no idea where we were going. We were just happy to be with Grandpa. We met Mommy and Daddy at the golf course. We were very happy to see Mommy and Daddy. We were also excited since we've never been to a golf course before. There was so much to see! They're a lot bigger in pawson. And there is SO much grass...oh the pawsibilities.
This is the way to the First Tee.
Daddy took me for a spin in the golf cart. Boy was that fun!
Then it was time for Daddy and Grandpa to tee off. We were off to see Uncle Bey Bey and Auntie Shila. Mommy was too busy to take pictures because she had to go get her hair cut. Why do humans have to cut their hair? Isn't it a wonder that we pups never need a hair cut?!
We had a full day and weren't able to get to anyone's blogs today but we will definitely catch up tomorrow.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for grass fed beef. It's been almost one year since our last order. There is one quarter of a grass fed cow in our freezer right now. Steaks, hamburgers, roasts, and so many other delicious things are in the future. The A/C man still hasn't come to our house. I don't know what's taking him so long but he better be glad it wasn't too hot this week. Maybe I should get his phone number from Grandpa and give him a call. What do you think?

Sierra's Scoop

Where's the beef? I smelled burgers grilling on the BBQ today and I must say I was in Heaven. I love the smell of meat cooking over an open flame. Did I mention the cheddar cheese? Teddy Bear and I were so tantalized by the smell alone that once we saw there were two extra little cheeseburgers on the dinner table just for us, we could barely control ourselves. Thankfully I did not lose my manners while we waited patiently for our little, juicy, cheesy, grass fed beef patties. It was a little warm in the house tonight so Mommy said it was a perfect night for eating outside and she sure was right. Mommy said it was not very lady like the way I inhaled my burger tonight but I think there should be exceptions to acting like a lady. Don't you?

Sierra's Scoop

I wish the weather was this perfect everyday. Teddy Bear and I enjoyed the weather by playing outside. When we came inside we had some grass fed beef for a snack. I loved it but Teddy Bear got an upset tummy because he didn't chew his food before swallowing. A little while later I found his portion of the meat hidden by the book shelf. So naturally I gobbled it up with out hesitation. I hope he doesn't smell it on my breath. Besides, finders, keepers, right?
