Guess who's...

home? Mommy and Daddy! Daddy left yesterday morning. We thought he would be back in a few hours but we didn't see him till early this morning. The best thing was that Mommy was with him! We were SO excited to see them!!! Our pawrents went to a wedding in L.A. They said it was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to.
Look at the pawesome wedding cake. The inside of it was chocolate so they didn't bring us a piece.
Daddy did bring us back some of this.
And Mommy brought us some french macarons from Paulette's. They are a must if you're in Beverly Hills. She also brought us homemade butter cookies.
Even though we should've been camping this weekend, I guess the yummy treats make up for it somewhat. How did you spend your Memorial Day weekend?

Week fourteen in the garden

I hope everyone is having a pawesome three day weekend! We are enjoying a relaxing weekend at home. Our zucchini grew a lot this week!
Our tomatoes are stronger and stronger every day.
Our turnips are growing really, really well.
And so are out mint plants.
I wonder how tall our potato plants will get?
Our bok choy grew a lot this week too.
Our kale seems to be coming back to life.
Our corn is growing and growing. Daddy says they're going to be taller than me.

Sadderday number eleven

From time to time, these strange boxes will come out from nowhere. First of all, they are weird boxes because they don't have anything yummy inside of them. Second of all, whenever they come out, Mommy or Daddy or both of them disappear for a few days. Where do these boxes take Mommy and Daddy? Mommy started putting things into the boxes yesterday and now she's gone. She's been gone for a whole day. I wonder when she'll be back? Daddy is here taking care of us but you all know I'm a Mommy's Boy.

Fun on a Friday

Over the weekend, Mommy and Daddy went to a baseball game. It's called the Battle of the Bay where the Oakland A's play against the San Francisco Giants. Milo's Mommy and Daddy bought tickets for them so they couldn't say no. Even though they don't care who wins, they were kinda glad that the A's won. Why? Because they were given some free A's paraphernalia and wore them to the game. I'm so glad they had fun. One day, I hope that pups are allowed to go to baseball games. Mommy and Daddy said there are wonderful things there like garlic fries, hot dogs, bbq sandwiches, and ice cream.
This guy looks like he's having a ton of fun!
Mommy and Daddy brought back these balloon things for us to play with. They're a little hard to play tug of war with so Sierra and I are still trying to figure out how to have fun with them.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for Greenies! They are my favorite after dinner snack. We were running really low. Thank goodness the UPS man brought us a fun package. What is your favorite after dinner snack?

SIerra's Scoop

Even though we just got back from a walk in the rain I thought it would be nice to wear my new summer scarf. It was a gift from my Auntie Kim. Mommy said it's a little old fashioned but Daddy called it fluorescent. It really brightens up the room don't you think? Daddy said something REALLY funny and I was cracking up during our photo shoot.
Mommy thought it would be cute to try the bonnet look. Which do you think is better?

Azure Monday

Look what Daddy brought home tonight! Our order from Azure Standard. Mommy was very happy that the 25 lb. bag of whole wheat flour she ordered came this month. She ordered it last month but they were out. I can't believe she went through 25 lbs. of flour in two months. Wow! She also ordered a whole box of black bean tortillas chips. I'm don't like chips at all. Do any of you like chips?

Week thirteen in the garden

This is what Daddy built yesterday. A lettuce box. Mommy loves it. We all can't wait for the seeds to start sprouting.
Daddy guided me through the garden today. I can already taste the strawberries.
The zucchini plants grew a lot this week.
Can you believe this tomato plant came from a seed that we started thirteen weeks ago?!
We thinned out the turnips earlier this week and I think they already grew back.
The mint plants look pawesome. Mommy says she needs to order some tea so she can make mint tea.
Checking in on all the potato plants. I think we're going to have a lot of potatoes!!!
The corn and bok choy grew a lot this week too!
And so did the cucumbers.
P.S. I am very happy to report that we did get a great long walk today.

Sadderday number ten

After breakfast, Mommy left without me. Daddy and Sierra were staying home too. She was going to spend the day with Milo's Mommy and with Auntie Kim. I was busy all day supervising Daddy while he was building something. (We'll post pictures of it tomorrow). I think he did a great job. Just as we were getting ready to leave for our walk, we were hit with a sudden rain storm. I couldn't believe it. Had my magic powers worn off for the day? Maybe they weren't working so well since Mommy wasn't with me. I'm very sad to report that we didn't go for a walk today. The storm lasted for a while. By the time we ate dinner and waited for our food to digest, it was dark and really cold. That cold part is according to Daddy. I never get cold. We better get a good walk tomorrow. Or else....

P.S. Can you tell just how sad I am?

Food for Thought Friday

Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa went out to dinner. I guess it's ok that they left us since they rarely do. Mommy and Daddy both ordered cioppino. Grandpa ordered a rib eye steak. Guess who brought home a doggy bag? Mommy! (Why do they call it a doggy bag, anyway?!) Aren't Mommies the BEST? When Mommy opened the container we saw two shrimp and a piece of salmon. Both were delicious!

Thankful Thrusday

Today I am thankful and humbled by this award. We were given the award by our pawesome pals at For the Love of Dogs. We've loved getting to know them and their pups. Buddy and Ginger also gave the award to us. We love how close they are and know that if they lived nearby, we would all be great friends. Mack and Mia gave us the award too. We love our new friends and enjoy hearing about their daily adventures with their Boy.

Here are the rules:
1. Thank the person who gave it to you.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.

Teddy
*I love drinking raw milk.
*Every night when my Mommy gets into bed, I jump up, and lay across her to say good night.
*Walking and hiking are two of my favorite things.
*I can learn a trick in one or two days.
*My bed is two 24x24 tiles of limestone. (Mommy put a blanket on half of one of them just in case I get cold...I don't think Eskies get cold.:)
*I don't like it when things move unexpectedly.
*I love getting belly rubs and scratches. My favorite place to get a good scratching is on my back right above my tail.

Sierra
*I love food and can devour something in half the time as my brother.
*I make lots of noises when I'm sleeping.
*I am a very good guard pup. I bark at everything.
*I copy almost everything my brother does.
*I love sleeping next to my Daddy.
*I LOVE getting body scratches.
*I would rather stay home than go for walks but my pawrents say I need the exercise.

3. Pass the award along to bloggers you think are fantastic.

Since we've seen this award on many of our friends' blogs, we want to pass it on to all of our friends. We think it's fun and would love get to know you better.

4. Contact blog award winners.

Sierra's Scoop

Sometimes, I think flowers were made for pups. Why? Because they are at our eye level. And only our extraordinary noses can truly smell nature's beautiful fragrance. We saw lots of pretty flowers on our hike at Lake Chabot. We thought the colors of these flowers were unreal. Don't you think so?
These purple flowers made us think of Khyra.

Here are the friends...

we saw during our hike. This Sheltie was super friendly.
Daddy got really close to this snake. He was pretty long. Mommy really doesn't like snakes so she stayed back until he crossed the path.
Mommy just loved this butterfly that landed right next to us. We saw a white butterfly too but he flew away before we could get a picture.
If you biggify this piucture you can see Mr. Blue Jay.
And last but not least, we saw this family of ducks. We all thought they were really, really cute.

Week twelve in the garden

Most of the seedlings in our greenhouse are growing!!! We are still waiting for the sweet potatoes to sprout.
Daddy transplanted the strawberry plants today. He also bought a golden strawberry plant. We can't wait to see what those will look like.
The bok choy grew a little this week.
The turnips grew a lot this week.
Since none of our bell pepper sprouted, Daddy finally broke down and bought a plant.
Look at out bear keeping watch over our heirloom tomatoes.
The mint also grew a lot this week.
And so did the potatoes. We wonder how big these plants will get???
The beets, corn, and zucchini are all in the ground and coming along. Happy gardening, everyone!!!
