Wordless Wednesday: We hear there is a rain storm on its way

Happy Tuesday, everyone, it's Sierra! It really is a Happy day today because today is Mommy's birthday!!! She's been feeling a little sickie for the past few days. That hasn't slowed her down one bit. Instead of making dinner, Daddy thought it would be fun to order pizza since Grandpa and Auntie Kim were coming over. Mommy did make a delicious coffee cake. Here's to wishing our very lovely, most amazing, stupendously fabulous Mommy a wonderful BIRTHDAY. We hope you get better soon.

Everyday...

...when I go out back, I can smell about a gazillion different kitties. We can tell they've been playing in our yard. We wish they would come in the day time so we could meet them and play with them. Why they come at night will always be a mystery to us. Have you smelled any kitties in your yard lately?

Week two in the garden

Looks like we have a lot of work to do, Daddy!


Look at all of those kale plants!


Mommy just loves the baby broccoli plant.


The garlic seems to be doing excellent.


Look at the chive plants. They didn't do so great last year so we're hoping for a better season.


Our lemon tree is not even a year old and it is already giving us lemons. Woohoo! I think Mommy should make some lemon poppy seed scones with them.

No Pup Allowed....

Wait. Huh? Did we hear that right? No pups? Ugh, not again. Mommy and Daddy went to two birthday pawties without us today. We think all pawties should allow pups on the guest list. Don't you? We napped while we waited for Mommy and Daddy to come home.


After lots of hugs and kisses and dinner time, it was time for dessert. Homemade ice cream sandwiches. Need we say more?

Spring has sprung

We love seeing these Labs when we go for our walkie. They are happy to see us too.


It sure feels like Spring has come early. It's been on the 70's for the past few days. The flowers are already in bloom. (And we are not happy about that since we didn't really get a winter.)


After lots of running and chasing after Mommy and Daddy, we love to lay on the cool grass.

Hi everyone it's Sierra. I was hanging out in the back yard today when two old friends flew in and landed on the fence. It was the pair of Doves from last year. I was so glad to see them that I didn't even bark. I told Daddy to put water in the bird bath just in case they get thirsty. Have you been getting any doves or other birds moving into your yard lately?

Happy President's Day

We hope you all had a wonderful three day weekend. Daddy went to work today but we sure did enjoy our weekend. One day, we hope to visit the White House. In the mean time, this fun photo will have to do. How did you spend President's Day?

Daddy planted zucchini, cherry tomatoes, San Marzano tomatoes, and two different kinds of Italian red peppers today.


Of course we snoopervised and kept a look out for birdies.

...my next trick. That's what my pawrents keep saying anyway. Talk about an amazing display of will power. I don't think I could do it. But I sure am willing to try...as long as it takes. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Maybe a hotdog overdose. I don't see anything wrong with that. Do you think you could handle doing this trick?

Sigh...

What an unusual winter we're having. Winter is almost over and we've yet to see any snow. So I'm dreaming of being in this place...near the mountains where there is a ton of snow. After the photo shoot I am going to race up to the top and play in the snow. All day long.

P.S. While Daddy was driving home tonight he saw blossoms on the almond trees. It's not even Spring yet and the trees already have flowers on them. Does this mean that the snow isn't coming?

Happy Tuesday everyone, it's Sierra! We hope your day has been filled with lots of love. But isn't every day filled with lots of love when there are pups involved? Hee hee.

Yawn...

...I think it's time for a nap. We had a busy weekend...running around getting ready for our Veggie Garden 2012, lots of walkies, and getting ready for the week. I can't think of a better way than to take a much needed long nap while it's raining outside. I secretly hope that the rain is gone when I wake up so we can go for a walkie. How did you spend your Monday?

Did someone say fire?

We lit our first fire of the season today. I'm not sure what to think of having a fire inside of the house. I mean, it's nice when we're camping and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. But having warmth inside of the house is something new to me. When I was a wee little pup, I saw my very first fireplace at my Auntie Kim's house. I barked and barked at it. I've been safe till now. Now we have our own fireplace. I'm not sure how I feel about it but the humans love it. So, tell me, what do you think about the fireplace?

Wordless Wednesday: Paw Pawsition

Sierra's scoop

Hi, everyone it's Sierra. There was a calm before the storm this morning so I took advantage while I could. With the sun out and the wind gone, I was able to do some bird watching before it started to rain. I love to see all the little birds that stop by our yard for a visit. What's your favorite kind of bird?

Sometimes...

...when I fall asleep on the couch, I like to bury my face in a blankie.


This doesn't last very long though because I get hot very fast.


After I take my face out of the blankie I try to stay on the couch for as long as I can. (I know Mommy and Daddy love it when I nap on the couch). Then it's time to jump down.

Super Sunday

Other than not being able to watch the puppy bowl during halftime, today was pretty super. There was a small party at our house so there were lots of snacks for everyone to enjoy. There was cheese, salami, and crackers. Then we had artichoke jalapeño dip with sliced sour dough bread. Last but not least was the sushi. After all that food everyone was so stuffed they skipped dinner. We didn't have a favorite team so we just enjoyed watching the game. The best part was the commercials. Which one was your favorite? Our favorite was the pup going on a diet to race the VW. Ok, so we loved all the commercials that starred our fellow four legged friends.

Milo's Baby Sister's Birthday

Today we loaded up the truck and went to see Milo. Milo's pawrents were throwing a 1st birthday party for his little Sister. We stopped at Costco on the way to exchange a gift. Sierra and I waited with Daddy in the truck while Mommy went inside.


After our dinner, Mommy thought it was really cute that I found a soft place to eat my after dinner greenie. Thanks Milo for hosting our own little puppy pawty.
