...means crab night in our home. Thanks to Daddy's adventure out in the deep sea yesterday we were able to enjoy fresh crab. After our feast we watched a movie and quietly rang in the New Year. How did you spend NYE?
Yes, please!!! Daddy went deep sea fishing again. He says the San Francisco Bay is even more beautiful on a boat. Look at the size of that fish Daddy caught. He caught a few more but his phone died about half way through the day.
The water has been rough these past few weeks. As you can see, Daddy was not feeling too well. The Dramamine must not have been strong enough.
Look at all the birdies that were chasing the fish that were on the boat.
Mmmmmm. We can't wait to eat frsh crab for dinner tomorrow night as we celebrate NYE.
...our new cousin, Eve. We've only seen pictures of our newest cousin and we're already in love. Eve is a Korean Jindo breed. She is just over eight weeks old and such a beauty. We all can't wait to meet her.
...you may not pass. We saw Mommy getting all spiffy today...like she was getting ready to go somewhere. She said she was going to a bridal shower for one of our cousins. Then she was going to dinner and a movie with Auntie Kim and Auntie Flo. That meant an entire day without Mommy. I tried to block her in but she gave us all kisses and said she would be back tonight. Hmmmmpf!
Recently, Mommy learned that salami is a type of salumi. Who would have thought that we didn't know the name of one of our favorite snacks. Tonight we snacked on wild boar salumi and raw cheese from France along with crackers. Let the holiday eating begin!
Look who came to play with us at work today. It's our new friend Loki. Loki's Daddy is an elementary school teacher. Since today was the last day before Christmas vacation she got to go to school to play with all the kids. She is one of the biggest pups we've ever seen but we weren't intimidated at all. I hope we plan a play date soon!
...happened in the middle of the night. Our Christmas tree fell over while we were all sleeping. We were all too passed out to even notice what had happened. Daddy wasn't so lucky. He heard the whole thing...crash, boom, kerplunk! At first he thought it was the boogey man. But since Sierra and I were not on full alert, he realized that the tree had fallen. Things were just fine last year. But I guess not every twelve foot tree stands the same. Has this ever happened to you?
Happy Tuesday everyone, it's Sierra! Mommy and Daddy have been worried about me. I've had a pretty bad cough for the past few days. I am enjoying cozying up by the fireplace and laying underneath the blankets. Mommy thinks I might have caught a cold...but l'll never tell.
Daddy and Grandpa went out on a great big boat today. The boat was called the New Seeker. One of Daddy and Grandpa's vendors put together a deep sea fishing trip out on the Bay. Look at all that crab. All together there were 72 crabs caught today. Daddy, Grandpa and all their friers caught lots of rock fish also. Daddy wasn't feeling too well and he forgot to take pictures of the fishes. We'll be sure to take pictures when Mommy cooks them.
The Captain had a Lab named Madi. She was a beauty and did laps and laps around the boat, keeping everyone company and of course looking for human foodies. What a fun life she has being out on the deep water almost every day. Daddy said she barked at the crab every time the pods were lifted out of the water.
The boat went all around the Bay, even under the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge.
Here she is just waiting for the next pod of crab to come up.
Yummy, yummy, Daddy. Thank you for bringing home such a yummy dinner. Mommy cooked up the crab and served it with lots of butter and lemon and veggies.
To get lots of of packages delivered to our house and to Daddy's work. Today someone rang our doorbell but were already gone when we looked outside. After a quick look around we found this on our front porch. Does Santa Paws make front door deliveries?
...fifty nine degrees in our home today. I guess that was cold to the pawrents because out came the blankets. I thought I'd give the blanket thing a try. It was good for about .5 seconds and then I got really hot. I don't think I'm a big fan of blankets. What about you?
Happy Tuesday everyone, it's Sierra. I just love this time of year...all the lights and decorations and the feeling of good cheer in the air. We love seeing oohing and awing at all the pretty lights in our neighborhood. This is by far the coolest decoration we've seen. What do you think?
When we walk by this kitty cat's house. He's always sitting and watching us. We would love to meet him but Daddy is scared we might get our face's scratched in the process. I have come pretty close but this little guy doesn't even flinch. I think that means he wants to meet us too.
Today was Grandpa's birthday so we spent the day at his house. We had a yummy dinner and then a not so yummy cake. All the cakes at the store were decorated for Christmas so Daddy picked the Santa cake. Unfortunately it was awful. At least we had good company right?
...torture. Every morning when we get to work there is a taco truck that sits in our parking lot. They cook up all sorts of scrumptious meats. I like to look at the food truck a lot because the savory aroma is almost as good as eating a taco. I wonder if Daddy will ever let us have a taste....
Sierra already out grew her new Black Friday bed. To tell you the truth, it was too small for her in my opawnion. She was super cozy in her smaller bed but I think this one suits her much better. We'll gift her small bed to Uncle Bey Bey since she seems to be loving her new big girl bed.
Happy Tuesday everyone! Now that the weather is much cooler at Daddy's work we like to stay in the shop with him as much as possible. Brother and I take turns in the kennel. I like to sleep in my comfy cozy bed inside the office too but Teddy Bear rarely does. I guess he's the protector of our pack. He like to have an eye on Daddy and an eye on me.
After a long day away from home, this is the best place to rest. Right here on the big couch laying on Daddy's favorite blanket. I always sleep on the big couch and Sierra sleeps on the little couch. That doesn't leave a lot of room for Daddy and Mommy, does it? I think it's time to get bigger and more couches.
There is finally some water in the creek by our house. It was really flowing today so I didn't want to jump in like usual. This is the most runoff we've ever seen around here. I guess we're pretty lucky because this west coast storm was supposed to cause flooding but our town was spared.
After a long day of putting up Christmas decorations, we thought we were all done. Sierra and I thought for sure that it was time to relax, watch a movie, and enjoy popcorn. Boy were we wrong. We noticed that the most important decoration of all was missing. We're not sure what to think of this.
...the story of Lycka? It is an amazing story of a beloved Golden Retriever whose pawrents didn't stop fighting for their fur baby. We love hearing about the good things that humans are capable of. We hope you'll read Lycka's story and keep your paws crossed for him as he undergoes this life changing surgery.
Our pawrents sure did splurge on Black Friday. They bought us a new crate mat and a cute little round bed. Mommy told Daddy it was too small, but he said the price was too good to pass up. If you can't tell, I love it. I've been sleeping in it all weekend. Do you think it looks too snug? If it is we can always give it to Uncle Bey Bey.
Today at work Daddy surprised us with a new crate pad. We've never had nice crate pad like this one before. It's furry, fuzzy, and oh so soft. Teddy Bear gave it his approval by sleeping in it almost all day. We love our Black Friday special. Thanks pawrents.
So we used to have some icicle lights like these but they were stolen out of our storage a few years ago. Last year, Auntie Kim gave us some of her extra lights to use but they were not the icicle lights that we loved the most.
Since Mommy has a job now, we decided to splurge and buy the lights we missed so much. So Daddy loaded up the cart at Costco and grabbed a few boxes. He was so excited to put up the lights. Mommy said he was like a kid in a candy store. We can't wait to see how they look all lit up.
I am a 6 year old American Eskimo. I live with my Mommy, Daddy, and sister, Sierra. I enjoy long walks, hikes, camping, and going to Lake Tahoe. I love to play. My Daddy is my favorite toy...I love to bite his hands. I love my parents very much and they love me.
