The last day of the year...

...how did you celebrate? We went to a pawty at Auntie Kim's house. Here she is getting all the sparkling apple cider ready.

Should we try some bubbly, Sierra?

Everyone's getting ready for the countdown!

I've got my pawty hat on.

Sierra has her pawty hat on too.

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Not so thankful Thursday

Can you believe Daddy went to the snow without me? I'm still in shock.

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a pawesome Christmas. Today was our last day at our cabin. After cleaning and packing up the trucks we all gathered in front of our cabin for a group photo. It looks like I'm going in for a kiss.

We stopped at Northstar to walk around the Village and to get a quick bite to eat.

There were tons of other dogs there...including this adorable German Shepherd.

We had fun watching everyone ice skate. We thought it'd be neat if we could get out on the rink for a while.

We were sad to be leaving the snow storm. It is supposed to snow a lot in the next few days. We can't wait to visit the snow again.

We tried...

...a new hike today. It was near the local sled hill. There were so many new things to see and smell.

We'll race you to the top of the hill, Mommy and Daddy!

It was great having the hiking trail all to ourselves. We stopped and played in the snow for a long time.

We went to check in on our friends who were sledding. They seemed to be having tons of fun. Can we get on with our hike now?

What are you waiting for, Mommy and Daddy, we need to finish the rest of our hike.

Sierra is tuckered out from a full day of fun.

It snowed all night...

...and boy was Daddy happy about that because he spent the whole day riding the slopes on his snowboard.

I was so glad that our friend Zoe came up to our cabin today. Can you see her behind me?

Sierra had fun running up and down the street on the fresh fallen snow.

I had fun running around and then taking breaks and being covered by the snow.

After a long day of playing in the snow I took a nap on my favorite spot of the couch while my friend Celia showered me kisses.

Merry Christmas from Two Eskies

Our day started with a super yummy breakfast...smoked salmon with mascarpone cheese on a wheat baguette with cucumbers.

After a long walkie, it was time to open our stockings. A new squeaky stuffie toy? We love it!

Tuff balls? Yay!

Let's play tug of war, Mommy! I love my new rope toy.

Santa Paws was very good to us. Thank you, Santa Paws!

Mommy's favorite stocking stuffer was the Eskie tow hitch cover that Daddy made. Isn't it pawesome?

Daddy loved all his stocking stuffers. We think his favorite were the Ritters.

We finished the day with a delicious dinner. Mommy roasted a chicken with sweet potatoes and served it with a salad.

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Fun on a friday

Guess where we are? Wowee! We are at our cabin in Lake Tahoe. We thought we were going to Grandma and Grandpa's house when Daddy put our harnesses on this morning. He had something more fun in mind.

Time to go for a walkie in the snow. There wasn't any fresh snow but we're loving all the white stuff.

Daddy decided to start a fire after our long walkie. This is as close to the fire as I could get. As you can see, Sierra doesn't like to get anywhere near the fireplace.

We will get this close for a Merry Christmas Eve photo though.

Here are some homemade peppermint oreo cookies for you, Santa Paws. We've been really good this year.

Thankful Thursday

I was SO thankful when Daddy came home early to start his vacation. Once a year Daddy's work closes for ten days in a row. It is his only real vacation of the year. He so deserves it because he works hard every day by himself. We went for an early walkie and had lots of fun playing. I'm so glad there will be lots of play time with Daddy. Does this mean there will also be lots of early walkies? I sure hope so! I'm even dreaming if playing in the snow. It is vacation time after all.

Sierra's Scoop

Guess where we went today? It was my very first time going to Petsmart.

Um...Daddy, I don't think I like these floors...at all. Why are there such slippery floors inside a pet store?

Wow...that is the biggest beef knuckle bone I've ever seen. I think Milo and Auntie Sheila will love it. We'll take'em.

We couldn't believe how many toys there were! We were like kids in a candy store. I wonder which toy Uncle Bey Bey would like?

Come on Daddy, I'm ready to go!

We've got...

...mail. I think I can smell The White Dog Army.

Look at our beautiful friends...Siku, Quinn, Nuka, and Puff. We just loved getting their Christmas card.

Mommy and Daddy say...

...house hunting isn't very fun. They'll see a house they like online and find out that it already has an offer on it.

They'll see one in person and really like the house but the backyard is all concrete.

Or they'll really love the backyard but not the house. Sigh....

How long did it take your pawrents do find their first home?

Mommy, what did you...

...bring me from the market? It sure smells good! I think I smell chicken.

What are those? Chicken feet?! What do you mean they're not for eating? You only use them to make chicken stock? Fine....
