Introducing...

...our new Cousin, Kobe. Here is his Petfinder photo. Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean fell in love with him. Today they drove all the way down to the Mojave Desert to bring him home.

They stopped by on their way home so we could meet our newest Cousin. Isn't he a beauty?

The lady at the Shelter thinks he's a Shiba Inu mix. We think he could be mixed with German Shepherd, maybe? What do you think?

We're so thankful for the newest addition to our family and even more grateful that Kobe has found such an amazing furever home. We think Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean are pretty amazing! We're already looking forward to all the play dates, hiking trips, camping adventures, and romping in the snow.

Merry Christmas Eve

Tonight we celebrated Christmas at Our Auntie and Uncle's house and we had a really good time. Grandpa was even waiting for us when we got there and I could tell he was very happy to see Sierra and me. Look at the dinner table. Wow Mommy thought it looked so pretty.

Sierra was moving around all night trying to get back rubs from everyone in the room and I think it worked.

Daddy kept telling me to get down off the couch but Mommy was letting me sit next to her while we all had a gift exchange.

Merry Christmas every one and to all a good night!

We hope you enjoy your shortbread and milk, Santa Paws. We've been really good this year.

The last day of the year...

...how did you celebrate? We went to a pawty at Auntie Kim's house. Here she is getting all the sparkling apple cider ready.

Should we try some bubbly, Sierra?

Everyone's getting ready for the countdown!

I've got my pawty hat on.

Sierra has her pawty hat on too.

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Busy Saturday

This is what happened when we left our house this morning. We couldn't believe it was raining!
Our first stop was the gas station.
Then Mommy and Daddy took us to Auntie Kim's house. We had a fun time playing with Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean. Mommy and Daddy went to our cousin's 3rd birthday pawty. Look at that cool Thomas the Train cake!!! We so wish we could've been there to have some.
Here we are trying to get comfy for the ride home.
We hope everyone is having a pawesome weekend.

This is...

...my Auntie Kim's front porch and I love it. Maybe it's because she has a set of chairs and a table just for hanging out front. Or maybe it's the cool weather that I was so lucky to go for a walk in tonight. It felt like the low sixties but for some reason Daddy was freezing. Mommy and Daddy had to borrow jackets from Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean because they left their fur coats at home. I loved the bay area breeze flowing through my fur coat. I hope we get to visit again soon.

Sierra's Scoop

It was my great Grandma's birthday this weekend so Daddy, Mommy, Auntie Kim, and Uncle Sean took her to lunch on Sunday.
Daddy ordered a kobe beef cheese burger. Daddy loves hamburgers so I couldn't believe he saved some for Brother Bear and me. WOW!!! That's right, all this was for us except for the lobster claws.
This is turning out to be a fantastic August already. It's wonderful, wonderful.

Today's...

harvest included one big turnip and one big beet. Mommy says she is going to roast them and put them into a salad.
Look at the size of our cucumbers. They're almost as big as our zucchini. Not to worry friends, they are supposed to be that big. Daddy thinks it's really cool that heirloom varieties get so huge.
Sierra and I were able to go to band practice with Mommy and Daddy today. We've always wondered where they disappear to every Saturday morning. We had fun playing with Auntie Kim while Mommy sang and Daddy played guitar. They practice for Sunday morning at their church. Then we ran about a bazillion errands and finally came home like twenty hours later. We love going for car rides and playing with Auntie Kim but we were so glad to be home after a long day. After dinner, rest time, and walks, it's almost bed time for me. How did you spend your Saturday?

SIerra's Scoop

Even though we just got back from a walk in the rain I thought it would be nice to wear my new summer scarf. It was a gift from my Auntie Kim. Mommy said it's a little old fashioned but Daddy called it fluorescent. It really brightens up the room don't you think? Daddy said something REALLY funny and I was cracking up during our photo shoot.
Mommy thought it would be cute to try the bonnet look. Which do you think is better?

Sadderday number ten

After breakfast, Mommy left without me. Daddy and Sierra were staying home too. She was going to spend the day with Milo's Mommy and with Auntie Kim. I was busy all day supervising Daddy while he was building something. (We'll post pictures of it tomorrow). I think he did a great job. Just as we were getting ready to leave for our walk, we were hit with a sudden rain storm. I couldn't believe it. Had my magic powers worn off for the day? Maybe they weren't working so well since Mommy wasn't with me. I'm very sad to report that we didn't go for a walk today. The storm lasted for a while. By the time we ate dinner and waited for our food to digest, it was dark and really cold. That cold part is according to Daddy. I never get cold. We better get a good walk tomorrow. Or else....

P.S. Can you tell just how sad I am?

Sierra's Scoop

This past weekend I tried lying on Grandpa's leather couch to see how comfy it was. Well...it is very soft. I kind of got stuck in the deep crack between the cushions. At first I thought the sofa was trying to eat me until Auntie Kim threw me her winter scarf and pulled me out. Sofa monster or not, that was a close call if you ask me. Next time I hope to sample Grandpa's bed since here aren't very many soft places to lay in his house.

Today was a work day for us. Auntie Kim came with us to Grandpa's house. Mommy and Auntie Kim got to work organizing Grandpa's room. Then they moved onto emptying boxes from when Grandpa first moved into his house. As they separated the garage sale pile, store in the attic pile, and throw away pile, Daddy and Grandpa were busy moving the boxes out of the rooms. I think the ladies did a great job today. There are just 2 boxes left. Before today, almost the entire room was filled with boxes. We worked hard almost all day today. Mommy's birthday is tomorrow. She started celebrating tonight though. Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa, and Auntie Kim went out for Italian food. Mommy ordered her favorite, cioppino...AKA love in a bowl. She said she saved some shrimp and scallops for me and Sierra. I hope we get it tomorrow. Daddy thought they would go for an extra treat and stop at Cold Stone for dessert. I couldn't believe it. You know how organic Mommy and Daddy are. They even brought home their desserts to share.
