I feel like a...

...zoo animal whenever I sit in the crate. Today was a rainy day at work so Daddy blocked his office door with our crate because he didn't want us to get too dirty. Getting wet and dirty from the rain is so much fun. What do you think?

Lightning, thunder, and hail...

...oh my. We are loving the cooler Spring weather. We don't mind the rain either since we really need it. It really came down tonight. Grandma called to say that Uncle Bey Bey was scared of all the loud thunder. We really don't mind. We do like to bark at it sometimes, though. Sometimes it's fun to get cozy under Mommy's blanket. Not for too long since I warm up pretty quickly. Then it's time to go back outside to listen to the rain and thunder.

Waiting for rain

Today we all woke up really early (for a Saturday) and went for a walkie. We were trying to beat the rain that was supposed to be falling today. But after waiting almost all day for the rain, we realized it wasn't coming. I was so bored I decided to see if my head would fit between a couple pieces of furniture. It fit so well that I took a nap. Maybe when I wake up it will finally be raining.

Does it look like...

...we've had rain for the past two days? Well, it doesn't look like it to us either. We heard that there was some snow activity in Lake Tahoe. We sure wish we could go play in some snow right now. It's been too long and we're having withdrawals.

Yawn...

...I think it's time for a nap. We had a busy weekend...running around getting ready for our Veggie Garden 2012, lots of walkies, and getting ready for the week. I can't think of a better way than to take a much needed long nap while it's raining outside. I secretly hope that the rain is gone when I wake up so we can go for a walkie. How did you spend your Monday?

Lightning and thunder

The sky was really lit up on this hotter than normal day. High humidity and tons of lightning made it feel like we are living in the southern U.S., not California., I hope this weather doesn't last too long. I have plans for the weekend and I don't need any rainy day weather.

Look what...

...came in the mail today. Our HD antenna. Too bad it was raining tonight otherwise I would've held the ladder for Daddy while he secured it to the roof. The rain is going away tomorrow so we are hoping to get our antenna up and running. How did you spend your Monday?

Since it's been raining...

...I've been doing a lot of this. We've heard that Lake Tahoe has received record levels of snow. I've got my paws crossed that we'll be able to go play in it before the warmer weather takes it all away.

There's nothing better...

...to do than help Mommy with the laundry on this rainy day. It's supposed to rain for the next 9 days. Can you believe that? I hope the rain doesn't cut into my walkie time.

Call me...

...the wet Bear. It's been raining for most of the weekend. There have been little breaks here and there. We're thankful for those since we get our walkies. We were so close to home when the rain really started coming down! We all got soaked but it's ok because walkies trump getting wet, right?

Fun on a Friday

It was not all fun and games today but by the end of the day it turned out pretty good. First, I totally slept in! There was a nice cool breeze blowing this morning and I couldn't help but dream about playing in the snow.

Then this afternoon Mommy left Sierra and me home alone...again. This is the third time this week. Even though she went to see family that is only visiting for a short time I am still a little jealous. It wasn't too long before Daddy came home from work and took us on a walk. He said we had to hurry because a storm was blowing in and hurry we did. Half way through our walk, we started running just to avoid getting soaked. Right after Sierra and I ate dinner, Grandpa came home with a Papa Murphy's pizza. It was half Hawaiian and half all meat. You know what that means, right? Pizza Bones! Daddy has a bad habit of eating all the pizza bones but I put on my best sad face and sat right next to him practically drooling on his plate. I don't know if it was sympathy or the drool on his pizza but I was finally rewarded for my patience. Ok, so the very best part of today didn't happen until tonight. It was the moment I heard Mommy's truck pull up. We ran out to greet her. She gave me a hug and a back scratch that I will not soon forget. After a long day like this I just might need to sleep in tomorrow too.

Week thirty seven in the garden

The leaves on our broccoli plant are growing beautifully. We are eagerly waiting for the actual broccoli to appear.

Mommy just loves how richly green the kale looks.

Believe it or not we still have lots of tomatoes growing.

The beets are starting to sprout.

It rained most of the day today. The rain went away for walkie time and we almost made it home. It started pouring about two blocks before we reached our house. Clear skies are forecasted for the rest of the week.:)

Rain, rain...

...thank you for staying away for walkie time. Sierra and I smelled lots and lots of pee-mail.
Can you see the twig that decided to come along for our walkie?
It moved from my side and clung to my trousers and fell off just before we reached our street.
Hurry Mommy and Daddy, we can feel the sprinkles. Let's race home!

Busy Saturday

This is what happened when we left our house this morning. We couldn't believe it was raining!
Our first stop was the gas station.
Then Mommy and Daddy took us to Auntie Kim's house. We had a fun time playing with Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean. Mommy and Daddy went to our cousin's 3rd birthday pawty. Look at that cool Thomas the Train cake!!! We so wish we could've been there to have some.
Here we are trying to get comfy for the ride home.
We hope everyone is having a pawesome weekend.

Fun on a Friday

We see this adorable Husky every day on our walk. He loves to jump up and say hi to us. We would've never known what he looked like except for his amazing leaping abilities. He can jump straight up, twice his own height. I wish I could jump as high as he can. We finished our walk just before the rain started. It's supposed to stop by tomorrow. I hope the weather person is right. Happy Good Friday, everyone.:)

Guess who's...

...back?! The AT&T U-verse lady came to our home bright and early today. She took a few hours but we are up and running. How did life exist before the Internet? We're so excited to catch up with all of our friends and see what's been going on this last week. Mommy says it'll take a few days for us to catch up on everyone's blogs so please be patient with us. Mommy and Daddy are mostly done unpacking. There are still a few boxes laying around. Mommy says it's the little things that are the hardest to put away. I've been enjoying the windy day. Daddy says the rain is coming. I hope my magic powers work. How did you spend your Monday?

Fun on a Friday

We went for a car ride with Mommy today. We had so much fun! I love looking out the window when we're in her truck. Sierra hasn't learned how to do this yet. I've tried showing her how to do it but she still hasn't gotten the hang of it. Look at this fun car Daddy has been working on lately. We were all busy getting ready for our garage sale tomorrow. Sierra could not stop look at herself in the mirror. We all think she thought she was looking at another dog because she kept going up to the mirror and wanted to see what was behind it. Mommy and Daddy thought it was SO funny! It rained for most of the day today but my magic powers worked and the rain stopped just in time for our walk. Whew!

Savory Snacks

Look at what Sierra and I had for snacks today? Shrimp and scallops from Mommy's birthday cioppino. They were quite tasty! Daddy tried to get photos of Sierra with her snacks but she ate hers way too fast. Seafood is yummy. I can see why my feline friends are so fond of it. Rain is expected most of this week. Keep your paws crossed that my magic powers will be in full force to stop the rain for walkie time.
