Pawfect way to end the day

After a long day away from home, this is the best place to rest. Right here on the big couch laying on Daddy's favorite blanket. I always sleep on the big couch and Sierra sleeps on the little couch. That doesn't leave a lot of room for Daddy and Mommy, does it? I think it's time to get bigger and more couches.

Our Daddy...

...loves to fall asleep on the couch. He's says it's comfy, cozy, and feels like he isn't missing out on anything. I'm not a huge fan of the couch since I get hot pretty quickly. But tonight, I'll give it a try and join Daddy. Do you like to nap on the couch?

Sometimes...

...when I fall asleep on the couch, I like to bury my face in a blankie.


This doesn't last very long though because I get hot very fast.


After I take my face out of the blankie I try to stay on the couch for as long as I can. (I know Mommy and Daddy love it when I nap on the couch). Then it's time to jump down.

Home alone 3

Not many people know that napping on the couch runs in Daddy's family. Both of his parents always took a nap on the couch right before bed time. His oldest sister likes to snooze on the sofa too! Well needless to say, Daddy turns into a sleepy kid anytime a couch is near. Mommy usually tells him to go to bed since rest is better in a bed than on a couch. As today's title implies Mommy left Sierra and I home alone with Daddy while she went to an ornament party with some of her good friends. Daddy and I were watching TV when all of a sudden Daddy became very sleepy and next thing I knew, we were both snoring away. It has been a long week and we were both just so tired. Mommy came home and said we looked so cute together. It has to be a special occasion for this to happen but well worth the wait. Thanks Mommy for capturing this priceless memory.

This is how...

...I napped today while Mommy did loads and loads of laundry. How did you spend your Monday? Mommy thinks it's funny how I keep napping on my couch. It is my couch after all, right?:)

This is where I've been...

...napping lately. You see, at our last house, this was my favorite spot on the couch...my couch. Then we moved and we only had room for one couch...that's right, my couch. Only this time, Mommy and Daddy took claim. Now that it's winter and the weather has started to cool down a bit, I've been starting my naps on favorite old spot on my couch. Mommy thinks it's too cute that I've started doing this again.

Sierra's Scoop

There once was a girl named Sierra,

who was fuzzy and white,

and wore thin black mascara.

Whenever she rested in her house,

it had to be somewhere soft,

like a bed or even a couch.

All day long she napped like Sleeping Beauty,

so all day long she could dream

of her favorite foodies.

P.S. Here is an update on what Mommy did with yesterday's harvest. She roasted the tomatoes and put them into the freezer for marinara sauce and tomato soup for the winter. She used the bell pepper for beef fajitas tonight. She shredded the zucchini for zucchini bread. And the cucumbers will go into a salad to be eaten at dinner.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my couch. Yes, I have my very own couch. Mommy and Daddy sit on the love seat and I get the big couch all to myself. I share it with Sierra sometimes but it's mostly mine. I've had it ever since I was a Baby Bear. I love to get cozy next to the edge and take naps there. If I'm not napping under the futon, I'm napping on my couch. This is also where I love to have my after dinner treat, the oh so delicious Greenie! It's plush, it's cozy, it's got my favorite blanket and most of all, it's mine...except when Daddy tries to nap on it with me. I think it's his way of trying to be close to me.
