Hiking at Las Trampas: Take Two

Mommy and Daddy wanted to wear us out again. We returned to Las Trampas for a hike with our friends. We didn't see any horses today. I came face to face with a cow for the first time today. I've admired them from afar but to be so close. Wow! I wanted to sniff her but she didn't let me get close. And just like a girl, she made me chase her. We were off leash for most of the treacherous hike. Sierra and I loved every minute. We all had a great day. Everyone enjoyed the gorgeous views of the green rolling hills. We saw more cows when we were almost done with our hike. I tried to get close but I couldn't since I was on my leash. When we got to our truck we saw this little pup wearing doggles. I don't know what I think about something blocking my vision. This pup didn't seem to mind. Do any of you wear doggles?

Fun on a Friday

Mommy and Daddy have been doing the P90X workouts lately. It must be fun for them because they always crack up during their workouts. What is all this stuff? A pull up bar, jump ropes, dumbbells, resistance bands, a medicine ball. Why do humans need so much stuff to work out with? I think it's fun watching Mommy and Daddy. I like to see them sweat but they ignore me for a whole hour. Up, down, lunge, banana boats. As soon as Mommy lays down, I try to get some attention by standing on her before she moves onto the next workout position. I cannot be ignored for that long!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my couch. Yes, I have my very own couch. Mommy and Daddy sit on the love seat and I get the big couch all to myself. I share it with Sierra sometimes but it's mostly mine. I've had it ever since I was a Baby Bear. I love to get cozy next to the edge and take naps there. If I'm not napping under the futon, I'm napping on my couch. This is also where I love to have my after dinner treat, the oh so delicious Greenie! It's plush, it's cozy, it's got my favorite blanket and most of all, it's mine...except when Daddy tries to nap on it with me. I think it's his way of trying to be close to me.

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everybody, guess what day it is? It's Tuesday and that means I get to do my own post. Teddy Bear needs to take a day off once and a while since he lives the life of a superstar, he's kind of famous you know. I was just wondering if any one else has their own bedroom like me. Brother Bear sleeps in Mommy and Daddy's room. I used to have lots accidents before I was a big girl so Daddy built me my own little room. I like to decorate the inside with the toys I collect. Do you like my pretty scarf?

Today I...

...felt the weather changing. I think it's going to start cooling down (for real this time). I can feel the rain coming too. Mommy wasn't convinced so she watched the news to catch a glimpse of the weather report. The rain for next week has been moved up to the end of this week. Oh no! I hope that all of our tomatoes turn red soon. Daddy harvested three big ones tonight. I had to see them for myself. They are look yummy. Mommy said if the other tomatoes don't turn red before first frost we'll have to eat lots fried green tomatoes. Have any of you ever eaten fried green tomatoes before?

Week thirty two in the garden

I was too tired to help Daddy in our veggie garden. I asked Sierra if she could fill in and she said, "Sure!" The bees were getting help from the flowers on our basil plants to aid in their pollination process. We all love honey so we're glad to help! Daddy says the cantaloupe is almost ready to harvest. We can't wait. We have a few red tomatoes that will be harvested sometime this week. We still have a lot of green ones that need to turn red. The weather report calls for rain next week. Sierra did a great job helping Daddy today while I caught up on my beauty sleep. Thanks, little sister!
