Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's Sierra. It was so cold today that I just wanted to sleep on the couch and snuggle with a blanket. So far we have only used the heater once this year and that was on Black Friday. Tonight it is down to 58 degrees in our house. I think I need a thicker coat cause it feels like 20 degrees right now. I wonder if the heater will get turned on again? How warm...or cold is it in your house?

Can you see...

...the excitement on my face? I was on the other side of our backyard...waiting and waiting for Daddy to open the gate so I could greet him when he came home. In the mean time, Mommy had opened the gate on the other side of our yard. She kept calling and calling me to come but I was too focused on Daddy. I gave up on Daddy and went running to the sound of Mommy's voice. I was very excited to see Mommy and Daddy.

Week thirty six in the garden

The oranges are finally orange!!! We can't wait to see how they taste.

These leeks are huge. I hope Mommy makes something with them soon.

We hope the beets are ready to harvest before First Frost.

Kale, you are amazing. You thrive in when it's hot. You thrive when it's cold. You truly are a super food.

I think the swiss chard is ready to eat!

We hope you all had a great weekend!

Early this morning...

Daddy received a call from Milo's Daddy. Their water heater was on the fritz and Daddy's help was needed since he is an expert at installing water heaters. As soon as we got to Milo's house, we saw his kitty Sister, Mia. She quickly ran up her scratching post and onto the cabinets. She stayed there the entire day. Doesn't she look super cute up there?

Our Daddy's got to work quickly. Out with the old.

And in with the new. It only took about 4 hours. Ok, that's including the new sheet rock that Daddy had to help put in.

Can you see the boo boo above Milo's eye? A nasty TICK was stuck and wouldn't let go. Thank goodness Mommy saw and removed it. Daddy checked us thoroughly to make sure that we are TICK free. We hope Milo's boo boo gets better soon.

How did you spend your Saturday?

Freaky Friday

Look who's back! This creepy opossum has been coming around all year waking us in the middle of the night. We tried scaring it away with barking but when that didn't work Daddy would spray it with the water hose. And even that didn't work. Mommy felt sad for the freak thing and asked Daddy to stop spraying it with water. It is bigger than the cat next door and has the nastiest tail Mommy has ever seen. We hope he never comes back.

Sufferin' succotash...

...I smell sausage. Every night, around dinner time, this is usually where you can find me. Right near Mommy and right near the stove. There are so many wonderful smells that come from this shiny silver box, every day. I can't help but hold up my nose as high as I can and get a whiff of Mommy's delectable creations.
