San Diego Saturday

Today we went to Ocean Beach, the best off leash dog friendly beach we have ever been to. We all had a great time. There were so many pups out playing in the surf that at first I couldn't believe my eyes. After the beach we walked down the street to grab some fish tacos. Baja style fish are Daddy's favorite tacos of all time and we were definitely not disappointed. I know I'm supposed to love the snow but San Diego weather is nice and cool. Mommy and Daddy, can we move here?

Waiting...

...for someone to notice that I need a snack. Excuse the blurry photo but Daddy thought it was hilarious when he walked into the hallway and saw me in the kitchen, waiting. Even when Mommy and Daddy are out of sight, I sit and I wait, patiently for my snack.

Early this morning...

Daddy received a call from Milo's Daddy. Their water heater was on the fritz and Daddy's help was needed since he is an expert at installing water heaters. As soon as we got to Milo's house, we saw his kitty Sister, Mia. She quickly ran up her scratching post and onto the cabinets. She stayed there the entire day. Doesn't she look super cute up there?

Our Daddy's got to work quickly. Out with the old.

And in with the new. It only took about 4 hours. Ok, that's including the new sheet rock that Daddy had to help put in.

Can you see the boo boo above Milo's eye? A nasty TICK was stuck and wouldn't let go. Thank goodness Mommy saw and removed it. Daddy checked us thoroughly to make sure that we are TICK free. We hope Milo's boo boo gets better soon.

How did you spend your Saturday?

Black and white...

We love black and white photos but this one was need some adjusting. After a little editing magic, it is a work of art. Mommy wants a huge one like this on canvas so she can hang it over our couch. Daddy said maybe someday after he learns to paint.

First time on a submarine...

This weekend we went to Monterey to have lunch and spend time with our Mommy's childhood friend, Lee and his wife, Becky. They haven't seen each other in almost 20 years. What a treat it was to visit the town where Mommy grew up. Although Mommy and Daddy have been to Monterey many, many times we have always had to stay behind (since they usually visit places where we are not allowed). First we went to a great little coffee house cafe for lunch.

In the bushes there were these little birds just hanging out watching everyone eat.

Then we walked through historic Monterey

and went down to the beach where I dug a hole in the sand while Sierra watched the the seagulls combing the beach for food.

Mommy let a stranger hold her camera to take this picture. Too bad Sierra is hiding behind everyone.

After our stroll along the sea we came across a submarine buried in the dirt. This was our first time on one even if it wasn't under water.

There's a giant, orange ball...

...in the sky. This is what Daddy heard when Mommy called tonight. She was frantic because she had no idea what it was. Was a huge lit up hot air balloon that was floating through our city? Daddy told Mommy it was the Moon. We were really close to it tonight so no need to worry, Mommy.

During our hike...

...along the Truckee River, we saw tons of beautiful furry friends.

We loved the goatee on this little guy.

Look at these gorgeous Siberians. I think they are the biggest woofies I've ever seen. We spent lots and lots of time sniffing and getting to know each other. We even hiked along the river with them for a while.

This is one of Mommy's favorite pictures from the weekend. We loved watching this beautiful Golden dive into the river to fetch her stick...over and over and over again. It was very cool to see!

Do you love saying hi to new friends during your walks/hikes?

So...

...we went to Lake Tahoe this weekend and had a blast. We were there with lots of friends and had a great time just hanging out, eating, and going to the beach.

Mommy and Daddy also took us on a scenic stroll along the Truckee River.

Daddy wanted to go fishing but we got a little lost on the way so instead we just walked down the river to look for a shady spot for us to relax by the river and wade in once and a while to cool off. I love the cold but that river was fast and cold. That combination makes it very dangerous.
You can still see the snow on the mountains...oh how I wished and wished I could get to that snow! \
Lake Tahoe's water level was much higher than normal. I could tell the lake was full because there was almost no beach and I couldn't even run under the pier for some shade by the water.

We hope you all had a pawesome weekend!

Fair Trade

I think this is a fair trade...Daddy gets to scare me with his spool of fishing line and I get to eat the fish he is gonna catch. Does this mean we're going somewhere?

Fan on a Friday?

I was kind of hot today so I decided to lay directly in front of the fan so I could feel the cool breeze better. Then, out of nowhere Sierra showed up and plopped down right between me and the fan. Can you believe her? She's lucky she is my sister. I will go easy on her this time.

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday, everyone, it's Sierra! Today we were dreaming about

about cooler temps (this was at the end of Feb.).

Because it was THIS hot today.

How hot is it where you live?
