Lately...

...We've been huffing and puffing and barking a lot. Mommy and Daddy wondered what was going on. Then a few days ago, Daddy saw this owl perched on top of our neighbor's tree. Do you see it? It's not looking at us but sometimes we can feel his presence. It's almost like a kittie just sitting on top on our fence, crying, "Come up here and play!" I guess the one good thing is that the opossum hasn't been back in a really long time. Daddy thinks we have Mr. Owl to thank for that.

Freaky Friday

Look who's back! This creepy opossum has been coming around all year waking us in the middle of the night. We tried scaring it away with barking but when that didn't work Daddy would spray it with the water hose. And even that didn't work. Mommy felt sad for the freak thing and asked Daddy to stop spraying it with water. It is bigger than the cat next door and has the nastiest tail Mommy has ever seen. We hope he never comes back.

There I was...

...enjoying an afternoon nap on the lawn. All of a sudden, I heard something scaling our fence. Of course I had to defend Teddy's Territory and started barking uncontrollably. Mommy came out to see what was going on. The KITTY had already taken off but she got this great shot of me in mid bark. I hope the KITTY comes back soon so we can play.

Not so Fun on a Friday

Someone rang our doorbell today. Of course, Sierra and I barked and barked at the stranger. Mommy never opens the door for strangers. A little while later, Mommy opened the door to see if the stranger had left anything. They sure did. It was a notice from the Animal Police. We would've kept quiet had we known it was the Animal Police at the door. Were they just doing a random neighborhood check or did someone complain about us? We wonder! Our license from our last city is not expired but I guess we need new licenses for our new city. Mommy says that was the last thing on out to do list from moving. Daddy is going to the Animal Shelter tomorrow to get out new licenses.
Thanks for waking me up from my nap, Animal Police!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for the sun. I love playing outside when it's sunny. Atleast once during the day, I like to go into my backyard and sunbathe for a little while. I get to observe all the things around me. I can hear and see the birds flying by, people talking, and other pups barking. Mommy says my hair looks extra silvery in the sun. The sun makes everything look so pretty and green after the rain. I guess that's one good reason for the rain.

Fun in Tahoe

We are having so much fun! I slept like a baby last night. We went for a long walk today. On the way, we stopped by a sled hill to say hi to our friends. Sierra, Yuki, and I ran up and down the hill several times. For some reason Sierra dove onto a moving sled only to bounce off our friend Marley and roll down the icy slope. When she got back on her feet, she let out a few quick yelps to tell Marley to watch where she was going. I had my own fun and ran down the hill to race our friends. I don't need a sled to go fast. I won every time. We continued with our walk and went to the beach. This was Yuki's first time at the beach. She loved it. She's still a puppy and like all puppies, she couldn't stop barking at the waves. That made Mommy and Daddy think of mine and Sierra's puppy days. We barked and barked at the waves too. I just wish there was a way to catch them!

Fun on a Friday

Time sure flies when you're having fun! Today is my one year blog-a-versary. Where does the time go? Being in the snow is so much fun! I have dreams about living in the snow. One day...I hope! Is it just me or do walks in the snow just seem a lot more fun? There are lots of pups here in Lake Tahoe. Look at these three pups. I wonder if they're triplets? We thought they were pretty cute. They kept barking at us. Mommy says it's because they wanted to meet us. Maybe we'll see them tomorrow and we'll get a chance to meet them. We had a lot of fun running around Carnelian Bay. You can see almost see all the way across the lake. Mommy tried to run with us but we're just a little too fast for her. Tahoe water is so refreshing. I can't get enough. I once swam in Lake Tahoe in the dead of winter (according to Daddy). Daddy said we were going for a quick walk to the lake. All of a sudden I saw the waves and I dove in. I had icicles hanging off most of my hair. Too bad we didn't have a digital camera back then. Daddy says I looked like a flocked Christmas tree.
P.S. It was snowing this morning when we woke up. It's the best way to begin the New Year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
