Uncle Bey Bey

After work Mommy went to pick up Grandma to take her shopping so of course Uncle Bey Bey was super happy to see Mommy and totally looked for me and Sierra. Uncle Bey Bey was so sad we weren't there. It's been a while since we've seen Uncle Bey Bey. We hope things slow down at work for Mommy. We can't wait to go visit Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Bey Bey.
Mommy sent us this photo of Uncle Bey Bey since we couldn't see him in pawson.

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everybody, it's Sierra here and I thought you would like this picture of me in Uncle Bey Bey's bed. It was a little small at first but I thought it was kind of cozy. I've never tried lying in it before but when we were visiting him last weekend I thought I should give it a try. When Daddy saw this, he started laughing at me and I became slightly embarrassed so I buried my face into the bed. I guess looking back now I was just being silly because for some restful nap time, I need a roomier place to lay down. Has anybody else tried sleeping in a bed that was a little too small?

Today we...

...went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We all waited outside while Grandpa was cooking up some Korean BBQ.
Grandma prepared a delicious feast.
There was a special guest in town all the way from Korea. We were thrilled to meet Mommy's Uncle. Family time is so special. It's been over ten years since Mommy has seen her Uncle. We're so thankful for this time together. We hope you're all having a beautiful weekend.

Birthday bash part two

Today we went to Uncle Bey Bey's house for Daddy's birthday feast. Daddy was treated to some delicious Korean cuisine. There was barbecue beef short rib, sticky sweet fried chicken, and even the yummy shrimp cooked in an egg batter. Then for dessert there was chocolate cream pie and I know that it was delicious because Daddy licked his plate clean. Mommy's cousin even ate his second peace right out of the pie tin.

Happy Cinco De Mayo

We hope everyone had a great Cinco de Mayo. We spent the day with Uncle Bey Bey hanging out and it was a lot of fun. We love walking in Uncle Bey Bey's neighborhood. Not only is the weather always cooler at his house, but there are always a ton of new things to see and smell. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, the San Francisco Giants wore jersey's that said Gigantes, which is Spanish for Giants. Even though Daddy is half Mexican, it took him eight and half innings to realize why the jerseys had the Spanish word on them. That's ok, the only spanish words we know are "no" and "ay carumba."

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everyone, it's Sierra. Guess who came over for a visit today? Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Bey Bey. It's always so much fun when they visit. They even brought Chinese food for lunch. What a treat. We all spent a lot of time outside since it was a little cooler today.
Boys sure to love to sniff, sniff. I like to lay under the table and watch the birds.
How did you spend your day?

Imagine...

...this cone

on our Uncle Bey Bey. He has a major hot spot right now and can't seem to stop licking it. Grandma and Grandpa have tried everything...bandaging the area, putting oil on it but nothing seems to keep Uncle Bey Bey away from his hot spot. Mommy and Daddy suggested the cone and voila, Uncle Bey Bey can no longer reach his hot spot. Grandma said he was still trying to reach his spot yesterday. As of today, Uncle Bey Bey has given up and his hot spot is already getting better. We are so glad!!!

Sierra's scoop

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's Sierra. Do you like the way my Uncle Bey Bey stands? I think he stands like a duck with his feet pointing out. Despite his funny look those feet don't slow him down one bit. It's amazing how fast he can run for such a little guy. One time he ran an entire mile from the deli Grandma used to own. Mind you, he was running alone, by himself until a nice lady stopped traffic and rescued him. Uncle Bey Bey is a runner!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!!!

We went to visit Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Bey Bey to celebrate Grandpa's 52nd birthday. Wow. My pawrents don't understand it but I love this dome heater that Grandma has. I find it very fascinating. They know it's not because of the heat since I never get cold.

Grandpa had spent the day golfing with his buddies and then went out to his birthday dinner. We were waiting and waiting for him to come home so we could have some...

...sweet pecan potato praline pie and presents.

Grandpa got suckered into going out for karaoke so we weren't able to see him for his birthday or see him open his present. We did bring home a few pieces of the pie that Mommy made. We can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving Take Two

Since Mommy and Daddy spent Thanksgiving Day with Daddy's family. Today was our turn with Mommy's family. Look at that turkey. Mommy has roasted many chickens but this was her first turkey. It turned out delicious.

The table is set.

We are SO ready for dinner to begin.

Daddy thought it would be fun to watch a movie. I wonder what Grandma and Great Auntie are talking about?

He picked "Little Monsters." Grandpa and Mommy's Cousins thought it was a great movie. (We missed our Great Uncle today since he was at work).

Even though there aren't any pictures to prove it, he food was delicious. Turkey, herbed mashed potatoes, green beans with onions and mushrooms, grilled asparagus, soaked buttermilk biscuits, and of course, Korean BBQ...oh my! Dessert was pumpkin pie and buttermilk apple pie. Mommy was quite busy all day. This was Mommy and Daddy's very first time hosting Thanksgiving dinner. It's hard to snap away with the camera when you're hosting. Maybe we'll get better at it next year.

Sierra's Scoop

While visiting Grandma this weekend this found a fun round chair to take a nap in.
Just as I was getting comfortable Uncle Bey Bey came walking up. Daddy thought it would be nice if I made room for Uncle Bey Bey in my bowl chair.

I soon realized there was only enough room for one pup in this thing. Daddy made me "stay" as long as I could because he didn't to hurt my Uncle's feelings. Grandma is feeling a little better now. Thank you all for all your well wishes and prayers for her.

Thankful Thursday

I have to share some more pictures from our hike in San Francisco. There were too many other pups on the trail to stop and pose with everyone but here are the highlights. Sierra can pretty much take care of herself on the trail so Uncle Bey Bey was my hiking partner.

The first pup we crossed paths with was pretty big and very gentle. Isn't she beautiful?

Then out of nowhere was this little guy. He was running along a 15 foot high wall.

Last but not least, we ran into a super cool Great Pyrenees. He looks like a monster but I wouldn't mind having a big brother like him to look out for me.

I am also VERY thankful that it was under 100 degrees today.

Hike at Lands End Trail - Take 2

We went on a trip to San Francisco today with my Uncle Bey Bey to go hiking and sight seeing. When we left our house it was approaching 100 degrees but when we got there it was over 40 degrees cooler. Wow 57 felt nice, especially with that ocean breeze blowing though my fur. Mommy sat in the back with Sierra and me and boy oh boy do her legs make great pillows during car rides. I wasn't the only one thinking that either, Sierra and Uncle Bey Bey all took turns snuggling with Mommy during the car ride. Once we were in the city, we stopped at a Korean market to pick up some lunch. Then we parked at the trail head and ate all the goodies. Uncle Bey Bey can hike pretty far for having short legs but he did rest every chance he could. We loved the cooler weather and coastal scenery, at one point Daddy counted over 20 sail boats in the bay. How is your weekend turning out?

Look who...

came over bright and early this morning. Grandpa and his employees came to put some new gutters on our house.

Look at Grandpa and Chu Chu hard at work.

Bye bye, old gutters.

Hello, new gutters!

Guess who was here all day to play and is now staying for a slumber pawty? Uncle Bey Bey!

We're so very thankful that Grandpa has a great rain gutter business and that he was able to put such nice gutters on our new home. We love them and we love you!

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everyone, it's Sierra! We believe in the Power of the Paw. We are so very thankful for all the prayers and positive vibes sent to Uncle Bey Bey. We are surrounded by an amazing group of friends. Thank you!!! Grandpa received a phone call just before noon today. A nice man and his family had found Uncle Bey Bey. They were very happy to see the flyers that had Grandpa's phone number. Grandpa went to pick him up and thanked the nice man and his family. Grandma said that Uncle Bey Bey has been sleeping all day. He must be tired from his adventure away from home. Now I think it's time for me to go take a nap.

Please keep your paws crossed...

...for Uncle Bey Bey. He never had a big boy surgery so he loves to go out and explore. He's done this a few times and has always been found and returned home safely. However, he did not have his collar on today. Grandpa was cleaning cobwebs and had the front door open while Grandma was washing the dishes. Grandma went into the living to check on Uncle Bey Bey and they realized he was gone. They've been out looking for him several times tonight. Mommy and Daddy made flyers and put them up near Grandma and Grandpa's house. We pray that Uncle Bey Bey is safe and that he'll be at one of the animal shelters when Grandpa gets there tomorrow. We believe in the Power of the Paw.

Do you like...

...my new yard, Grandpa? I love it!!!

There's even a toilet in the backyard for humans. Both of my Grandpa's were at our new house today to help paint, clean, and to do some minor repairs.

Mommy and Daddy were amazed by how hard they worked.

Even after a 12 hour day they never let up.

Uncle Bey Bey came over too to supervise and to take a little nap with Grandma.

Happy Birthday...

...Grandpa! Is that crab I smell?

Uncle Bey Bey wanted to get some of the crab too. It was delicious!

Grandma was nice and only put a few candles on Grandpa's cake. We're so glad we were able to share this special day with our Grandpa!

Thankful Thursday

Gobble Gobble... Happy Thanksgiving. Mommy has been busy cooking for two days straight. Today we went Uncle Bey Bey's house to hang out with our family and eat lots of good food. Uncle Bey Bey had to go outside to check things out. There was an amazing aroma coming from the grille.

Grandpa was grilling Korean BBQ. Daddy calls this my birthday meat because every time Grandpa gave it to me he said it was my birthday.

Here is Mommy making the gravy and putting the finishing touches on her green beans.

Look at all that scrumptious food. We didn't get our own plates this year but we got plenty of turkey, Korean BBQ, and chicken.

Everyone had fun singing karaoke. Daddy was singing the Elvis song, "Teddy Bear" but all I could think about was Grandpa eating the shortbread made by Mommy.

My patience paid off and Grandpa finally let me have some.

Sierra even got to do a little karaoke.

We hope you all have a fun and blessed day. We loved being with our family during this special time of year.
