Week twenty nine in the garden

Our kale really is making a comeback. We are plucking off leaves almost everyday for Mommy and Daddy's green smoothies. I sure hope the buggies don't move back in too soon.
So it turns out we were all wrong about what kind of tomatoes were growing through the fence from our neighbors yard. These little "toms" quit growing and turned red way before we thought they were going to but I know Mommy is pleased to have few extra for her salads or sauces.
I just love to watch our peppers turn different colors as they ripen. This one is a "Baby Bells" mini bell pepper and it will soon turn bright red. The weather has been kinder to us by cooling about ten degrees over the last week. We hope this week stays cooler for our garden. Thing just grow better when it's not so hot. Don't you agree?

Week nine in the garden

Does anyone need thyme? Ok, good because we have TONS of it.

We transplanted one of our baby bell plants today. This is our first time growing bell peppers from seed and we are very excited!

We can't believe how much the mint grew in just one week. We are ready for some mint in our smoothies.

Just look at all of those flowers on the strawberries. We can already smell them. Hurry, strawberries!

The tomato plants are looking healthy and strong.

Our first harvest

Look at all this kale that we harvested yesterday. Mommy loves to use it in soups, in salads, as a side dish, and in green smoothies. We love green smoothies too.

While Mommy was busy harvesting, I (Teddy Bear) was busy crossing through the garlic bed to get to the fence. Oopsie. How was I to know that raised beds are off limits?
