Hectic Saturday

We left bright and early to head out to the bay area. Can you believe it rained there this morning? First we went to the Farmer's Market. Then we went to worship practice. Our next stop was Whole Foods. Then off to Costco we went. Then we stopped at Old Navy. Our last stop was at Lowe's. And then we finally made it home. Can you believe all the fun we had today and Mommy forgot her camera? Today felt like a blurrrrrrr so we thought this picture was very fitting.
Guess what was waiting for us when we got home? Lots of heirloom tomatoes, strawberries, and zucchini. We are very thankful for such a bountiful harvest.

Food for thought Friday

Guess what we harvested tonight, Friends? Our cantaloupe!!! We are all every excited. Mommy put them into the fridge right away. We all like our fruit cold around here. They should be ready by breakfast time tomorrow. Can I have this little one all to myself?
Mommy made some zucchini muffins tonight. They are for breakfast tomorrow. Yipee! I better get a good night sleep so I can wake up bright and early in the morning.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for nectarines. Daddy's neighbors at work gave these to him today. Can you believe it? They are from his backyard. We can't wait to have fruit trees in our backyard one day.
Do any of you have any fruit trees?

Sierra's Scoop

Hi friends, I have wonderful news. I finally got to play with my cheeseburger. I have been smelling it for a week or so in the kitchen . I almost forgot about all about it until Daddy gave it to me tonight. It not only looks delicious but it's a squeaker. I love squeaky toys but they usually don't last long around my Brother. He is more of a toy destroyer than a toy collector. Toys would last me forever if I didn't have to share them but like Mommy always says, sharing is caring. Is that why my nickname is Care Bear?
Here I am trying to eat the sesame seeds.

Today's harvest

All the potatoes are harvested.
Daddy hopes to make some seed potatoes and plant them for another harvest before winter. We finally harvested some tomatoes today. Mommy was very happy. Mommy and Daddy enjoyed fresh tomatoes and cucumbers tonight. I am still waiting for my cantaloupe.

Week twenty four in the garden

Here is a part of our garden jungle.
Our lettuce is finally taking off. Daddy isn's sure why it's taken so long.
Our butternut squash is growing well. We hope to see more!
We still have lots and lots of zucchini. Mommy has been busy grating, blanching, and freezing it.
Cantaloupe, are you ready yet???
Look at the cucumbers! Maybe we should pick them now and make some pickles.
We finally have red tomatoes!!!
Happy Sunday, Everyone!
