Mommy and Daddy...

... woke up and left really early today. Mommy said they had a lot to do and it would be way too hot outside for Sierra and I to go with them. It seemed like more than nine hours but that's what Daddy said it was. Grandpa stayed home with us today because he loves us so much. He gave us our lunch cookies right on time and also let us outside whenever we needed. Mommy said she was going to bring home a big surprise for me and I couldn't wait. I thought about all the yummy things she has brought me in the past. Boy oh boy was I surprised all right. Have you ever tasted a fresh picked blueberry? I thought the frozen ones were little berries from heaven but oh no, I was wrong. The heavenly ones come from Jessop Farms in Ripon, CA. They are one of our snack time favorites, can you tell?

Our first Sunday...

...without the garden. Well folks, we couldn't clean up the garden like we wanted to because it was too muddy back there. Whenever it rains the backyard is off limits. There's a good reason for that too. When I was a just a pup Mommy let me go out there during a storm and as you can see I did more than just leave some pee mail. The first time I drank rain water it was life changing. It tasted so yummy coming right out of the down spout from the rain gutters. I felt so energized by nature that I kind of lost control and started doing big zoomies around the yard and through the muddy grass. That's when I lost my pawing and slipped right into a big mud puddle. Straight to the bath I went and I really don't like bath time. Have any of you slipped into a mud puddle? Daddy says he has a surprise for me but he won't tell me what it is until tomorrow. Oh boy, I can't wait!!!

P.S. It got really hot while Mommy was cooking dinner so she opened the back door for me. I went to the backyard and it didn't seem that muddy. I managed to bring in a little of the mud with me. Nobody's perfect, right?
