A beautiful day in the snow

We are having a real blast at our cabin. Playing in the snow and going on a really long walk is all we did today but the day flew by so fast. Tonight Mommy and Daddy plan on eating Italian food by our cozy fire. I don't like fire but for Italian food I think I can bear it.

Our last day in Tahoe...

was pretty fun. We woke up early in hopes of playing in some freshly fallen snow. Since there was wasn't much near our cabin we went for a little hike to find some. We all love walking around in Lake Tahoe because there's always something pretty to look at. And wouldn't you know it...the snow started coming down heavily as we drove down the mountain. We'll keep our paws crossed that there will be a ton of snow for our next trip.

Where's the snow?

After another long drive we finally arrived at the cabin.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I jumped out of our truck.  All the snow from last weekend had melted.  To make things worse, it is still raining right now. My paws are crossed that when we wake up tomorrow morning there will be a fluffy surprise waiting for us.

Snow trip FAIL!!!

Mommy took the day off today so she could spend most of the morning getting ready for our trip to Lake Tahoe. We were more than happy to have the day off from work too. Daddy went to work a half day without us. Fast forward a few hours to us pulling into the driveway of our cabin. Daddy noticed that the lights were on, panic set in, and the phones were pulled out to look at our cabin schedule. Mommy has been so busy with work that she got our weekends mixed up. We enjoyed our dinner al fresco in the pawesome frigid weather. It was 17 degrees tonight. We played in the first snow of the season before heading home. See you soon Lake Tahoe. We hope the snow is here to stay.

Look who...

...we found at our cabin. It's a wooden bear for Teddy Bear. We were all so excited to see him when we arrived. We couldn't stop sniffing him. Sierra was even a bit scared of him at first. We've always admired wooden carvings. This is the first time we've seen one up close. We love him already.

This is...

...what our truck looked like when we left our cabin yesterday. DIRTY.

So we went to the car wash today. Car washes can be a little scary? Any pup with me on that one?

Happy Birthday to the best Mommy!!! After dinner, Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa, Auntie Kim, and Uncle Sean went to have birthday cake at our new home so we are promised that there will be leftover cake for us tomorrow.

Guess who...

...is in the snow? That's right!!! Sierra and I are here at our snow covered cabin. There was a lot of traffic on the drive up so I was able to leave some pee-mail on the freeway.

This is my kind of weather. I think minus two degrees is the coldest Mommy's truck has ever seen in the fur.

Sierra and I are surrounded by snow everywhere we go!!!

Cousin Andrew's friend brought her fur baby, Rocco. Sierra and I are having a ton of fun playing with him.

We're on our way...

to our cabin! While Mommy was in college, she loved Chic-fil-A. She was sad that there weren't any in California. That was until a few years ago, when Chic-fil-A came to Sacramento (which is on the way to our cabin). Of course we had to stop there since Daddy had never been there.
I think he loved his chicken sandwich. Have any of your been to Chic-fil-A?
I see the Lake. We're getting close to our cabin!!!
We ran around the front yard as soon as we got there. And Sierra found one of her favorite toys.

Thankful Thursday

Guess what I have to be thankful for today? Mommy and Daddy woke us up really early today and told us that we were going on a road trip. To where? To our cabin. We were so excited. We could hardly wait to get there. Sierra and I napped for most of the car ride. When we woke up, I couldn't believe my eyes. There was snow everywhere!!! I wanted to get out of the truck and roll in it right away. As soon as we pulled up to our cabin, we jumped out of the car and ran around in the snow. I'm so thankful that we are here to ring in the New Year. I am also very thankful for all the friends that we have been so fortunate to meet this year via DWB. Your friendships are a blessing. Although we have never met face to face, we feel like we know you very well. The bond of friendship stands strong. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives.
