While Mommy was...

...taking of layers and layers of my winter coat she found a new black hair on me. I have one black hair on my snout. One black hair on my back close to my tail. And now my newest black hair is behind my right ear. Is my black hair what grey hair is to non white pups? Hmmmmmmm.

It's time to...

...get back to some house projects. Mommy and Daddy decided to tackle the medicine cabinets. They were both kinda icky and needed some revamping. Daddy forgot to take the before pictures. But maybe that's a good thing because they were really icky.

Can you believe the inside of this cabinet was beige and covered with tons of brown rust spots? A little Rustoleum and it looks brand new!

P.S. We have not been allowed in the garage since all this has been going on...something about toxic fumes from the spray paint.

Stairs...

take two. Do you remember the project that our Daddy started a little while ago? Well...it didn't turn out very well. The steps were very high and not very long. Mommy decided she to use the first set of stairs to hang laundry on the clothesline. Daddy has been working hard on a new set of stairs for us. This time the actual stairs were not wide enough. Daddy is going to revamp them and see if they work for us. We are still jumping on the bed and not using the stairs. I think this hint helped Daddy realize that the second set of stairs wouldn't work for us either. We are helping him brainstorm some ideas on how to make the pawfect stairs. Any suggestions?

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's Sierra. Guess who went to the beach? My whole family went on a very scenic hike this weekend in San Francisco. It was a very overcast day so it didn't get too hot in the afternoon during our hike on Land's End Trail.

We saw the ruins of Sutro Baths. In 1896, the Sutro Baths were opened to the public as the world's largest indoor pool establishment. There were 7 different baths (pools), a museum, a concert hall and an ice skating rink. The building was destroyed by a fire in 1966.

We took a ton of pictures. Can you tell I was tired of all the picture taking?

My Favorite part was the beach because that's where we played along the waters edge and then rested in the cool sand and had a picnic lunch.

Look at this cool art of rocks that someone built. Everyone had fun going through it like it was a maze.

Week four in the garden

We were enjoying the cool, breezy day while Daddy was working hard in our garden.

Well hello there, garlic. It's very nice to see you.

We are very excited to see the potato seedlings!

The heirloom tomatoes have finally arrived on the scene.

Mommy thinks the snap peas look very pretty.

What are some of your favorite things to grow?

He is Risen!!!

Happy Easter, everyone! Look at all the Easter Eggs Sierra and I found today. This morning before Mommy and Daddy went to church we had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard. There were little candy treats in the eggs because beef jerky doesn't fit so well into them so Daddy ate all of the candy and guess who got the beef jerky. Do you like my big ears? They didn't really grow on me. In fact I only wore them for the photo shoot for a few seconds but it was worth it for the jerky.

Sierra barely kept her ears on for all of two seconds. Even the jerky didn't work on my Sister.

Today was...

...the first day Sierra and I were left home alone since moving into our new home. At first I was worried but after a while it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Daddy's friend got married to his girlfriend of ten years in the town of Hollister. We were so bummed we could not go. Mommy says that if she could get married all over again, she would definitely have me in the wedding. I could be the ring boy as long as the rings didn't get lost in my fur. Sierra wants to be the maid of honor but I think she'd make a cute flower girl.

Happy Earth Day

Today we celebrate the Earth and also Good Friday. We hope you all spent some time thinking of ways to be a bit greener than last year. Now that we have new gutters we hope to install rain barrels around our new home. Instead of wasting the rain water we'll use it to feed our veggie garden. Daddy is hard at work figuring out ways to get the best barrel...wood, plastic, or metal? We are still deciding. Do any of your have rain barrels? And as we all have fun getting together with family this weekend, we hope you all remember the reason why we celebrate this special holiday. His name is Jesus.

Where's the beef?

It's almost in my tummy! It's that time of year again. About once a year we order one quarter of a steer. Daddy brought home over 250 lbs. of grass fed beef tonight. It smells so good!

We can hardly wait to eat it!

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's Sierra. We have a bazillion toys. Mommy and Daddy like to rotate them so we don't get bored playing with the same toys all the time. Despite having lots of full sized stuffies to choose from, Teddy Bear and I love playing with our lucky rabbits foot that is left over from one of our Easter bunnies from two years ago. Can you believe it's still around? We love fighting over it and see who can get it when we play tug of war with it. It's small so playing tug of war with it isn't always easy. Do you have any stuffie remnants that you like to play with?

Look what...

...came in the mail today. Our HD antenna. Too bad it was raining tonight otherwise I would've held the ladder for Daddy while he secured it to the roof. The rain is going away tomorrow so we are hoping to get our antenna up and running. How did you spend your Monday?

Week three in the garden

I was enjoying the cool breeze and snupervising Daddy while he was hard at work in our veggie garden. Sierra isn't really an outdoorsy kind of girl so she was snupervising the house.

We planted lots of garlic today.

Mommy thinks the herbs look beautiful. What do you think?

Hi there radishes and turnips.

Look at all that bok choy.

We are very excited that there are little strawberries growing already.

We hope you all had a great weekend!

I know it doesn't look like it...

...but this is a special spot and I love it. I like to sleep under the desk on my tiles because it's always cooler down there. There is a cool place to lay in almost every room of the house but this one is my favorite. It kinda reminds me of going to work with Daddy every day when I was a little pup. I loved sleeping underneath his desk on the cold tile floor. We had special visitors today. Our friends were in town for a birthday pawty so afterwards they stopped by for a quick tour of our new home. We love having so many different visitors all the time. We wanted to get a picture but Sierra was on high alert and couldn't stop barking. We hope you're all having a fantastic weekend!

Look who...

came over bright and early this morning. Grandpa and his employees came to put some new gutters on our house.

Look at Grandpa and Chu Chu hard at work.

Bye bye, old gutters.

Hello, new gutters!

Guess who was here all day to play and is now staying for a slumber pawty? Uncle Bey Bey!

We're so very thankful that Grandpa has a great rain gutter business and that he was able to put such nice gutters on our new home. We love them and we love you!

Thankful Thursday

Look what came in the mail for us today. A package for us? Really?! This is so exciting! It is from our dear friends, Siku, Quinn, Nuka, and Puff...also known as The White Dog Army.

Is it really an entire bag of duck jerky? This has to be the most pawesome housewarming gift, ever!

We can almost taste the ducky goodness.

Words cannot express how thankful we are for our friendship with our dear White Dog Army friends. Although we've never met them in the fur, we feel like we've known them for years. And we hope that one day, we'll be able to meet fur to fur, sniff and sniff each other, and run around and play till the sun goes down.

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday everyone, it's Sierra! When I was a puppy I once played with a lemon. I found it laying on some grass and thought what a great smelling ball. Then all of a sudden when I tried to bite down on it, I got squirted with a super sour citrus that burned my tongue for hours. So when I heard that Mommy and Daddy were planting both a lime and a lemon tree, I thought double trouble.

I tried to warn Teddy Bear to be extra careful around those trees but him being the alpha male that he is, I don't think he will ever take advice from his little sister. So far so good, I don't see any fruit yet so I might have time to convince Teddy about the dangers of citrus. He might might not be so leary of citrus since he loves tangerines. How do you feel about lemons or limes or tangerines or oranges?

Can you believe...

...that we still don't have curtains in our home? We have the curtain rods but not the curtains. Mommy went to the store last week to buy them but the lady at the store told her that the color she likes is catalog only. What a bummer! So now Mommy is waiting for the fabric samples to come in the mail. That way she can see the color before she orders our curtains. Mommy does have a pair of sheer curtains and she's not sure why she didn't think to put them up when we first moved in. She just thought she would wait to put all the curtains up together. Hello! Daddy went to work right away and measured so the rod was perfectly straight.

You've almost got it, Daddy.

That looks great, Daddy. Now we can have a little privacy.

Week two in the garden

Happy Sunday, everyone! Come take a look at our garden.

Our chive plant was transported with success!

We're growing our mint in a container this year. Martha Stewart suggested this as a good way to keep the mint from overtaking the entire garden.

Wanna know what goes great with mint? Lemon balm. This is a plant that Mommy and Daddy purchased today.

Hello there, strawberry plant, you're growing beautifully!

Look at the little green bulbs. We're thinking that this might be a pear tree. We can't wait to find out.
