Fun on a Friday

Today I received my very first package. It was addressed to me. As soon as Daddy walked in the door with it I could smell the scent of a dog. It must be Siku! How cool is that?! She sent me a bag of Siku Smiles from Dugan's Barkery. They are all natural blueberry treats made with all organic ingredients. (Mommy loves that!). Daddy only gave me three treats tonight. Sierra and I both thought they were delicious! Getting packages are so much fun, especially from friends who may be far away but are close to my heart. Thank you very very much, Siku. Sierra and I love you!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for Mommy and Daddy's new bed. It doesn't require a box spring. That means it's closer to the ground. Before Mommy and Daddy bought this bed they just had a mattress and box spring, no headboard. Because the bed was so high there were two leather cubes at the foot of the bed for me to use as a midway jumping point. Now I can jump up there easily without any help. See the ledges on the bed? I like them because I can use them to jump up and down from the bed. I have to agree with Mommy on this one, it really is the coolest bed.

Today Sierra and I

went to work with Daddy because Sierra had a vet appt. Mommy has been spending lots of time with her Grandma and cousins lately. She leaves for a few hours every day and leaves us at home...sigh! We had fun with Daddy today. Daddy stayed so busy that he forgot to take a picture of us. Guess what the UPS man brought to Daddy's work? A package from the Only Natural Pet Store. The package was filled with shampoo, beef tendons, buggy (flea and tick) repellent, and free range bison jerky treats. The box smelled so delicious that I could hardly contain myself. We got home at the exact same time Mommy did. I was SO excited to see her!!! I greeted her with a hug and lots of kisses. After dinner we rested for a while before our walk. It was much cooler tonight. When we got home, Mommy gave us some of the bison jerky. Oh my! There were SUPER tasty. I can't wait to have more!

Flies and a treat

It was 98 degrees today! Whew! Mommy says tomorrow will be even hotter. Why do flies always try to get into our house when it's hot outside? They must be hot too. I noticed a fly on the other side of our sliding glass door. I love chasing things and love to catch flies. Mommy hates when I do that. I tried and tried to catch the fly but then I noticed that he wasn't inside. Mommy finally let me have my beef tendon tonight. It is very yummy!

Week eighteen in the garden

Daddy put up a little shade for our veggie garden. This shade is supposed to cool the temperature by fifteen degrees. Daddy told me that tomatoes don't do well when it's too hot that sounds like me). We hope the shade helps the tomatoes. The green beans are growing like crazy. Our basil is doing a lot better! Daddy's friend told him the secret to having a fruitful basil tree. You have to trim off the flowers. We have lots of little cucumbers. Mommy eats them plain or she'll put them in salads. Salads are not my favorite thing to eat. Look how well the sweet potato plants are doing! I think I can smell them underneath all that dirt!

Oh the...

...torture! Mommy went to have lunch with a friend today. She had fun but she was gone for six hours! Daddy was home with us but there's nothing like having both of my parents together, especially my Mommy. (Daddy says I'm such a Mommy's boy). To reward me she bought me a beef tendon. She usually orders them online but I ran out and more are coming next week. She must've felt bad for leaving me today because she never buys treats at the store. She says they are too expensive. Mommy didn't tell me about the beef tendon she bought. I was sitting with her at the computer when suddenly I caught a whiff. Could it be? My favorite beef tendon chew bone? I sniffed and sniffed and then EUREKA! I found it! Mommy was trying to be sly and tried hiding it from me. She put it on the table. I was frustrated because I couldn't get to it. Then Mommy said it was ok for me to get on the table and smell it. Wanna hear the really really sad news? She told me that I couldn't have it tonight since I had one last night. WHAT? I guess I'll be a good boy and wait till tomorrow!

Fun on a Friday

Daddy took out the big grill tonight. He was going to grill hamburgers for our friends who came over for dinner. It was nice to be outside again, helping my Daddy as he was grilling what smelled like Heaven! When the hamburgers were just about done he added cheese to the them. What could be better than beef and cheese? Oh my! Mommy made Sierra and I our own little patties. Sierra ate hers too quickly so Mommy wasn't able to take a picture. I eat mine slowly and enjoy my food. Today's fun on a Friday is me enjoying this very delicious homemade grass fed cheeseburger.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for the refreshing breeze we have tonight. It's been very nice these passed few days. We've only had to turn on the AC for a few hours during the day. I've been enjoying staying outside while Daddy is working in the garden. I go back and forth between the garden and the house. I have to make sure that Mommy is doing ok in the house. She's always doing something...cooking, cleaning, baking. I love that it feels cool enough to stay outside. I hope this weather sticks around for a while.

Tonight we had...

...vanilla bean ice cream and strawberries for dessert. It was SO yummy! Mommy shared some of hers with me. The weather was so much better today. We only had to turn on the AC for half the day. I hope this weather pattern continues. Mommy's bowl of ice cream is on Daddy's placemat. See what a mess he made from the delicious steak, potatoes, and zucchini dinner? Daddy can be like Sierra when he eats.

Guess what...

...Daddy brought home today? Our Azure Standard order. There were some goodies in there for me. Mommy puts oats in my dinner every night. She also uses them for cookies, granola bars, meat loaf, etc. See that wonderful cold ice cream? I could hardly contain myself. Even the box was cold! I can't wait to have some, maybe tonight! The weather was a little better today but still hot enough that we needed the AC most of the day. I hope everyone is staying cool!

Week seventeen in the garden

It was another hot day! I wonder when all this hotness will go away? Soon, I hope! Everything in our veggie garden looks great! There are more strawberries coming, the tomatoes continue to grow in abundance, both sets of sweet potatoes are flourishing. Daddy also has cantaloupe with the sweet potatoes that are in the raised bed. The drip system had just watered our garden and it was muddy so I wasn't allowed to go in. Mommy has been making homemade marinara sauce with all our tomatoes. Daddy has been enjoying tomatoes in his sandwiches for lunch every day. Mommy grills the zucchini for dinner and makes zucchini bread or muffins. Yummy! We learned from Maggie and Mitch that today was Ice Cream Day. After our walk Mommy gave us some Frosty Pawa ice cream. It was delicious and refreshing!

Sadderday number three

Daddy went camping today without us. He'd planned this trip weeks ago. He didn't tell me he wasn't taking me because he was going camping at a place that doesn't allow dogs. Excuse me? Who has ever heard of a camping place that doesn't allow dogs? That is just rude! We had fun a pretty fun day at my Grandparents house. Mommy thinks it's cute when I get close to this fake bear...since I'm Teddy Bear. Everyone went to the fair...without us pups. How dare they? Mommy saw some look a likes of Sierra and me. What do you think? Do they look like my sister and me?

Fun on a Friday

It was another HOT day! 99 degrees, wow! Mommy turned on the AC at noon. Boy were we glad! Sierra and I decided to play a friendly game of tug of war. See us pulling and pulling? I play along to keep up with the game. I am a lot stronger than my little sister. Can you guess who won?

Thankful Thursday

Today I thankful for a few things. We didn't know this before but my Grandparents have a plum tree at the end of their property. It didn't yield much fruit this year so that means next year there will be plums galore. We found 2 plums tonight. We gave one to Mommy's Grandma and Mommy and I shared the other one. It was very sweet and oh SO delicious! I am also thankful that Mommy's Grandma and two cousins arrived safely from Korea today. I met my great Grandma when I was just a little baby. We are so glad to have them here with us.

Play time

Daddy gave me my tennis ball tonight. I think he hid it from me. I was wondering what had happened to it. I had to go underneath the dining table so that Sierra wouldn't try to fight me for it. It's my tennis ball! It was 105 degrees here today. Mommy was nice and turned on the AC at 12:30. Whew! We'll have to wait till it gets cooler before we can go for a walk. I've been avoiding going outside as little as pawsible. I hope everyone is staying cool!
