I know...

...Christmas is over but I'm having lots of fun playing with my Christmas toys. I think Mommy has patched up my favorite Christmas stuffie about a zillion times. Do you have a favorite stuffie that you like to de-stuff?

Seedy Sunday

Some of our seeds have started to arrive. We can hardly wait to get these little guys into pots and watch them grow. Are any of you excited for gardening season?

Pee.S. Thank you all for your kind words on our future home. Sierra and I are very excited to see it.

Suffering Succotash Saturday

Why are there tape guns and flattened boxes laying around the living room? Are all these boxes here 'cause were moving again? I know Mommy and Daddy have been searching for a new home without us for three months straight but don't I get some say in the final decision? I like surprises as much as the next pup but geez, I haven't even seen the yard yet.

Do I still...

...have to go to the Vet even if they've mistaken me for someone else. That pup does not look like me. Am I right?

Thankful Thursday

Is this a big box of beef tendons? My dreams really have come true! Oh wait, what do you mean there's nothing edible in there?

Our new tent arrived today. We're so glad so many of you liked the Kingdom because that's the one Mommy and Daddy liked the most. Camping season will be here before we know it. For now, we'll enjoy winter since it's our favorite time of the year.

Sierra's Scoop

About once a month Mommy gives us a bath. It is a long, strenuous process for Mommy and for us. I'm first 'cause my short hair is not as thick as my brothers so it only takes half the time to wash and dry me. I feel bad for Teddy because his bath time lasts for over an hour and the hair dryer doesn't work very good on his thick coat so on days like today his fur hasn't completely dried even after 6 hours.

I think the worst part of bath day is the hair dryer because it sounds like a vacuum.

But the best part of bath day is all the yummy snacks we get for enduring all the torture of getting clean.

It's time to...

...get a new tent. I know you all must be wondering why we need a new tent. Some very BAD people broke into our storage and stole lots of things. Here are some of the tents that Daddy likes. This one is called the Kingdom.

This one is the Base Camp.

And last but not least, this is the Dome.

Which one do you like the best?

Did you catch...

the Eukanuba Dog Show today? We all had fun watching learning about all the different dog breeds. Congrats to Reckon, the beautiful Australian Shepherd! (We think all the pups are winners).

Do nothing Saturday

Can you believe we didn't have any plans today? A day like this doesn't happen very often. We all slept in...enjoyed a yummy breakfast of buttermilk waffles and bacon, and relaxed. After a long walkie, Daddy said it was time to vacuum the trucks. Look at the size of the hose on that vacuum monster.

I think I'll snupervise from over here.

We hope you all had a relaxing weekend.

It's National Hug Day...

...have you hugged all your loved ones?

Sierra's Scoop

You can tell by the look on my face that I haven't been feeling very well today. Since last night I've had an upset tummy and a little case of diarrhea. I woke up Mommy and Daddy twice last night just in time to let me out. I did have one squirt/explosion type of accident on the back door mat. It's not my fault, I just could't hold it any longer. Maybe it was something I ate while I was out in the backyard or maybe it was something I ate on our daily walkie. It's really hard to say for sure since I eat things so fast that I usually don't even stop to see what it is. I guess not everything that smells like food is good for you.

This is how...

...we spent our day. We were hoping Daddy would be off today. We relaxed, played with Mommy, supervised while she did lots of laundry and made yummy chicken tacos for dinner. Then Daddy came home.

How did you spend Martin Luther King Jr. Day?

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Can you say...

...bananas? That's a lot of bananas, Mommy! It's bananas that three people can eat all that in a matter of two weeks. We think bananas are alright. Apples, melons, cherries, tangerines, berries are of course WAY better. What about you? Have you ever tasted a banana before?

Can you guess...

...who that is riding the snow? It's our Daddy. Can you believe he went to the snow without us...again? Seriously, I think it's time for me to put my paw down!

He even took our cousin with him. Hmmm...cousin or us. Hmmm...that shouldn't be a tough decision.

Hope you're all having a pawesome weekend.

Thankful Thursday

Today we are thankful for this wonderful surprise from our wonderful friend, Siku. We couldn't stop smelling the white box from our dear friends.

Come on, Sierra, get up here so we can open our pressies.

Wow...a special letter from Siku, Dragon Snaps from Dugan's Barkery, and sushi stuffies? Pawesome!

Daddy says this looks like Uni. It looks fun!

Thank you so much, Siku!!! You are wonderful!!!

Sierra's Scoop

Wow, Daddy must have been a good boy. Look what the UPS man brought him today. It is a brand new Burton snowboard. It's called the "Nug" but it should be called the "Mini" because it looks a lot smaller than his old one.
Daddy had his old board 10 long years so it was both a sad and happy occasion...a farewell to an old friend and hello to a new one. There is so much new technology and design in this little Nug that it's supposed to be ridden 8-10 cm shorter than the traditional style snowboards out there.
As you can see it's actually 16 cm shorter than his last one so I bet Daddy will be as playful on it as an Eskie on a snowy day. Teddy and I have both sledded before so I think we could totally snowboard. I hope Daddy will take us for a ride down a mountain someday. I can see it now, me riding between Daddy's feet and Teddy riding up front. Now does that sound like fun or what?

This little piggy...

...went to market. This little piggy stayed home. This little piggy had roast beef. This little piggy had none. This little piggy has ears. My little piggy had none.

I chewed off the ears on Sierra's new piggy toy. Silly, pawrents, don't you know that us pups love pig ears?

Sunday, January 9, 2011

Is this...

...a new toy for me and Sierra? It looks like a broom but it smells like cinnamon.

Maybe I'll take a nibble and see if it's a stick for us to play with.

Just so we're clear, you're sure this isn't a new toy for us to play with?

Mommy said it's a cinnamon broom stick to make our home smell nice. Maybe we'll get to play with it when all the cinnamon-y scent has gone away.

Sadderday Number Fourteen

With an emphasis on SAD, this is Sadderday number fourteen. I don't think it's fair that Daddy goes to the snow without me. Today, he drove to Truckee to snowboard at North Star. He had a blast with my cousin, Andrew, even though there were a gazillion people there. Sometimes I get the feeling that Daddy loves the snow almost as much I do.

Date Night...

...for Mommy and Daddy. This is where our pawrents went on their first date so many years ago. They like the go back every few years to enjoy great food and reminisce about how their friendship grew into love.

They ordered a ton of food. Is that really all for two people? You can't trick us, Daddy. We see Grandpa in the background. Mommy's favorite was the Poke Salad. Daddy's favorite was the Dragon Roll. Grandpa's favorite was the fried oysters.

Look at how yummy the calamari look inside the little sailing boat.

Alas, there was no doggy bag...something about the food being too good, I mean, not staying fresh since it's raw fish and all.

Decisions...

...decisions. Where should we begin? It's time to really start thinking about our veggie garden. There are so many seeds to buy sometimes it's hard to know where to begin. Mommy will be taking an inventory of the seeds we have from last year. That sounds like a good start, doesn't it? Then we'll have to figure out when to start sprouting the seeds. Gardening time is very, very exciting for our family.

Are you all starting to think about the next gardening season?

Sunday, January 2, 2011

Mommy went to...

...a potsticker pawty. Grandma, Mommy's Auntie, and cousins were all there to help.

They made 900 pot stickers. Can you believe it? They worked all day making them. There were two different types...one for soups and one for steaming and frying (just like they serve in the restaurants). We can't wait to taste them!

What happened...

...to all of our tomato plants? Daddy worked hard all day pulling all the dead plants and preparing the garden for Spring time. It almost looks like we won't be planting a garden here in the Spring. We hope to be in our new home by then.

Look at all the trellises, stakes, tomato baskets, and pots. Daddy wanted to take an inventory of everything. Even though it's the middle of winter it's already time to start thinking about the next gardening season.

Wow, Daddy sure filled a lot of garbage bags. Come on, Daddy, we'll help you load the bags into your truck.
