For the love of a mouse...

a Magic Mouse, that is. Mommy got a late Christmas present from Grandpa today. Hey, wait a minute, it doesn't smell like a mouse. Oh, it's a mouse for the computer. Mommy and Daddy think it's very cool. Look at it next to our old mouse. What do you think? Maybe the unleashed mouse will help me blog better. We love Apple!

Guess who...

...Mommy met today? Auntie Sheila! She is not ready to meet us just yet. Mommy and Daddy say we can meet her after she's had all her shots. Digby and Prinnie are right, she is going to be HUGE! She already has big ears and big feet. I can tell it's not going to be easy taming her. She's already bigger than Uncle Bey Bey. Grandma and Grandpa say she sleeps all the time because she is growing and growing. All that growing makes Auntie Sheila very sleepy.

Freaky Friday

This might look like a scene from a scary movie. But we are just playing. We wanted to see who has the biggest mouth. Is it me or is it Sierra? The weather people said the rain is coming back tomorrow. Oh boy...Mommy bumped her head on her bicycle tonight. Why it's hanging from the ceiling in the garage is beyond me. If it was on the ground where it's supposed to be then she wouldn't have a bump the size of Texas on her forehead. Poor Mommy Bear.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for our new water bowl. Mommy and Daddy ordered this from Jeffers Pet. We've had a stainless steel water bowl for a long time. Mommy had pieced together a stainless steel soup bowl with a cover from a Water Hole. She was so glad when our new water bowl went on sale. You might be wondering why we need a water bowl with a cover on it. You see, ever since I was a puppy, I've loved to go water bowl diving. I just can't help myself...all that water...especially if it has ice in it. So the solution was to find a water bowl that had a lid on it. We think we'll keep our make-shift water bowl and use our new one for when we travel. You know how us dogs take a while to adjust to new things...unless they're new toys.

Sierra's Scoop

Daddy is my snuggie. Every chance I get I lay right on top of him. He is so soft and warm around the middle that it makes it easy to get really comfy. I know he doesn't mind when I lay across him cause he always lets me stay. Sometimes he'll even scratch my tummy or behind my ears to help me fall asleep faster. Sometimes Teddy Bear gets jealous of me but I don't know why. He doesn't even like to snuggle. His super thick fur coat is much warmer than mine.

Mommy found...

...another black hair on me. She says it's at the very top of my tail. It's a good thing I can't see it. I might want to bite it off. I have mostly white and biscuit colored hair so what is with these 2 black hairs on me? Do any of my other Eskie friends have one or two foreign black hairs on you?

Another day...

...to the snow without Teddy Bear! Can you believe it friends? Daddy went to the snow AGAIN and forgot to bring his favorite Son! Can you tell I'm a little upset? I know that this was an EPIC weekend for those who love to ride the snow. This time I sat down with him and had a serious talk. He explained that he wished he could take me and Sierra to the snow. But the resort probably wouldn't let pups onto the chair lifts to get to the top of the mountain. I told him I could get to the top faster than he could on a chair lift. Daddy did come home earlier today than yesterday. The power went out at Kirkwood today and most of the lifts had to shut down. Ha! That'll show him to go to the snow without me! Can you see the famous Heart Chute?

Sadderyday number seven

Daddy is a bad boy. Guess where he went today? Without me? He went to the snow. I'm still in shock! How could he go to the snow and not take me? He knows that playing in the snow is one of my favorite things. The nerve! He didn't even bring back any treats to make up for it. I think I need to sit down and have a serious talk with him. He did say he packed the bed of his truck with snow to bring it back for me but it all melted before he got home. I don't know if I should believe him or not since there is no evidence!

Fun on a Friday

Guess who has a new Sister? Uncle Bey Bey! That means Sierra and I have a new Auntie! Her name is Sheila and she is 6 weeks old! Grandma and Grandpa adopted Auntie Sheila from their local Animal Shelter. We think she is a Lab/Ridgeback mix. We can't meet her just yet since she is so young. But boy oh boy, we are going to have SO much fun with her. Mommy and Daddy say she is going to get pretty big, even bigger than me.

The rain gave us a little break last night for our walk time. Whew! The rain finally went away today. The weather people say it might come back in a few days. I hope they're wrong.:)

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my only natural beef tendons. They are my absolute favorite chew bone. Sierra and I got some for Christmas and this is the first time we've had one. Can you believe how long Mommy and Daddy waited to give us these yummy treats? I'll have to say that it was worth the wait because they are just oh so delicious! What are your favorite chew bones?

It's been raining all week. I have a feeling that the rain will stop in time for our walk tonight. I'm keeping my paws crossed!

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday everyone. Did you know that I love to lay down on soft things? With the exception of dirt I usually don't like the hard ground. Today I was wearing Mommy's winter scarf, relaxing on an old seat in the living room. Daddy thought it would it would be nice to share these photos of me posing. It is safe to say this has been the rainiest week of my life. We are in the biggest winter storm of this season. Teddy Bear wanted me to tell you that we got a walk tonight. Don't worry we didn't get wet. There was a little break in the storm for walk time. It's uncanny!

Azure Monday

It's that time of the month again. Daddy brought home lots of goodies from our Azure Standard order. The oats are mostly for my dinner. I also love snacking on almonds and cashews. It's been raining since yesterday. The weather people have said that there is more rain coming. I'm so glad it's been raining on and off. Daddy says it's uncanny how the rain stops just in time for walk time. How lucky for me!

Today...

Milo invited me and Sierra over for a play date. We had a great time rough housing and playing fetch. Daddy played the Wii with Milo's Daddy. It rained for a good part of the day so we were glad to get our walk in early. I love days when Daddy doesn't have to work. Mommy forgot her camera so she took a picture with her phone. I hope you're all enjoying your long weekend.

Fun on a Friday

Daddy thought it would be fun to teach me how to skateboard. I'm not an English Bulldog so it's not that easy for me. I am willing to give it a try though. Daddy had to get me on the skateboard first. I wasn't too excited about it rolling so my first lesson was on the carpet. I think it went well. I was rewarded with cheese. Daddy says next I'll have to learn to push with my back feet so I can move the skateboard.

Sierra's Scoop

Today I want to share my adoption story. I feel like the luckiest dog in the world. I love my Mommy and Daddy and my brother Teddy Bear. My life wasn't always so great though. I don't really remember my birth Mommy very well. I was taken from her when I was only a month old and she couldn't stop it from happening. Then I remember being at a park and waiting and waiting. I didn't know what else to do. It got dark and I didn't have my Mommy. I was so scared. Those were the worst nights of my life. Then I was taken to the Sacramento S.P.C.A. where I was named Fargo. After being there for a few days I was labeled un-adoptable, aggressive, and overly protective of my food bowl. I got sick with a bad cough that made me sound like a boy. One day a nice man from Creatures of Heart Sanctuary named Kurt came and said he would find me a home. First he took me to the vet and gave me medicine then he said I needed a new name. He called me Sierra because I was as white as the snow in the Sierra's. So the story goes...Mommy was looking on Pet Finder and saw my picture. She called Kurt and said she wanted to meet me. So Daddy, Mommy, and Teddy Bear drove all the way to the Sacramento Petsmart to see me. I was put on a leash so Mommy and Daddy could walk me around to see what I was like. I said goodbye to my friend Kurt and left with my new family as the happiest girl ever.....the rest is history in the making. Here is a photo from my first day home....

A New Neighbor

We have new neighbors moving in next door to us. We met them tonight as we were coming home from our walk. They have a 4 month old Akita named Raiden. Mommy and Daddy thought he was cute. I wasn't sure about him though because he hasn't had his big boy surgery. Maybe after that happens, we will become good friends. Mommy didn't have time to take pictures of Raiden. I'll make sure that she gets some soon though. I hope everyone is staying warm. It was 58 degrees in our house this morning. I loved it but Mommy and Daddy thought it was way too cold.

No Pup Left Behind

Tonight I went out front with Daddy to take out the trash. I went next door to leave some pee-mail. Then I went out to the tree by the street to see if any other pups had passed by. I heard Daddy open the door so I turned around to follow him back inside. I was right on his heels when the door shut in my face. At first I thought Daddy was playing a trick on me. But after a few minutes of standing there, I went exploring...for who knows how long. Mommy and Daddy thought I was napping underneath the futon. I could smell that Mommy was just about finished cooking dinner. I scratched and scratched the door. I let out a few cries. Then some more cries. But no one was listening. Finally, I let out my angry bark to get their attention. I could hear Mommy running to the door and hurrying to open it. She greeted me with a hug and an apology but I knew it was Daddy's fault. How could he? In his defense, he had NO idea that I had followed him outside. But doesn't he know that I go out with him EVERY time he takes out the trash? It's my job to protect him!

A post from Teddy Bear's pawrents...warning...graphic content

We usually don't allow Teddy Bear to post things that may be offensive to anyone. However, what we saw today was priceless. Since we've taken down our veggie garden, we've noticed that Teddy Bear likes to stand in the raised bed. What we didn't know was that he's been waiting all summer to do this...

Fun on a Friday

I think there should be a Winter Olympic Games for dogs. Wouldn't that be fun? We would meet in the coldest places known to man. For fun we would all perform tricks for treats. There would be ice cream dog sculptures all throughout Olympic Village. Let's contact the Olympic committee already!

Thankful Thursday

Lost dog? How does something like this happen? We met this lost dog tonight during our walk. She was very friendly. We took a different route so we could get home faster. Mommy gave her food and water. She was starving. She had no identification, just a heavy chain. We hope that the Animal Shelter can help her get back to her Mommy and Daddy. I'm so thankful for pawrents who are always looking out for other animals.

Sierra's Scoop

Wow, so much has happened since last week. Where do I begin? I got to wear my new harness during our long car ride to the mountains. I played in the snow and went for long walks to the beach.

Daddy found a stick for me to fetch but he threw it into Lake Tahoe.

I tried to get to it quickly....

but the cold water almost froze me into a pupsicle

and my stick drifted away.

This year is turning out to pretty great so far. Did anyone make any resolutions?

Here are mine:

1. I will not pretend to attack the mail man. It turns out he doesn't like it very much.
2. I will not leave stinky packages on the sidewalk. Daddy say's it's hard to pick them up.
3. I will not sneak into Mommy and Daddy's bed while they are sleeping. This one is going to be especially difficult.
4. Finally, I am going to learn some new tricks so I can be more like my brother, Teddy Bear.

There were so many...

...pups in Tahoe. That Malamute lives a few doors down from us. We've seen him throughout the years. He is a very good boy. He always watches us from his porch. We hope to meet him one day. We met a very cool Chocolate Lab named Dutch. He was very friendly and wanted to play with us. He kept following us so we stopped walking and his Daddy came to take him home. We saw another Malamute who was also walking near the beach. Too bad we couldn't meet him. We saw these two Labs playing in the snow. Our backyards are far away from each others so we weren't able to meet them. I hope they're there when we visit the snow again.

My new find...

at Kings Beach. Technically it's Lake Tahoe but there are little beaches all around the Lake. There are waves and sand just like a regular beach. After chasing waves and running up and down the beach, I hopped up onto this cool bench. I really liked the little patch of snow that was on it. I got snow my nose so I licked it off. It was cold and refreshing. Then I did some neck rolls into the snow. Ahhh, I love the feeling of cold snow on my pink skin (located underneath my double fur coat). I even took a little nap while everyone else played. Mommy wanted to play with me. She threw little snow balls in front of me and I bit into them. She thought it was too cute.
