Some tricks don't go so well, I really don't like things to be placed on my nose. Daddy had to stop the video because I was about to bite his hand. Does anybody have advice on how to learn this trick?

We never learned that trick either, Teddy, so we can't help you out. Mom can't even get the cookie that close to our nose to try to place it down. We've seen doggies "leave it" on their paw. Maybe your dad can try the paw first and work up to the nose?

I think some dogs have it and some don't. My Golden Girls, Cisco and Daisy, had it perfected, but Sam and Monty cannot master it no matter how much we try.

Finn is pretty good at leave it with treats. We have placed things on her nose before and she doesn't seem to mind. I have no idea why. We do this one trick where I outline her in kibble and she has to leave them. Maybe Mitch and Molly are on to something - work with it somewhere else and then move on to the nose.
ReplyDeleteMy mom can't remember how her taught me dat trick but I know dat I can do it, not sure 'bout Max cuz mom has been a bit lazy teachin' him stuffs. :( We likes Mitch and Molly's advice too.
