Week five in the garden

Wahoo! Our Yukon Gold potato plants are really popping out of the dirt finally.

So is our newly planted garlic patch.

I can see little radish's already sprouting up too.

They are growing really fast just like our beets.

and turnips. It is already time to thin out our little vegetable rows to make room for some big time growth spurts.

Have you ever heard of Spaghetti Squash? I haven't either but it is growing big leaves already just like the zucchini we planted from seed.

I wasn't even looking for baby oranges today but a dove flew in and landed on one of our citrus trees. As Sierra and I were bird watching, I noticed that there were a few little flowers up there and that's when I saw these little beauties. We can count the days it takes them to grow into full size oranges.

  4. oh, we all LOVE spaghetti squash. It is almost as good as pumpkin. When momma makes spaghetti squash she nixes in ground chicken and veggies in tomato sause, just like pasta...believe me, you will LOVE it! The rest of the garden looks like is thriving as well...and baby oranges are so cute!

    Your garden is growing fast! I bet your tummies are already rumbling just thinking of the yummy foods you are going to have.
