Sadderday number eight

We have a mail slot on our door and when I saw this today, I wanted to hide it. It's a note from the doctor. He wants to see me so he can steal some blood and give me a shot to keep me safe from something called Parvo. Going to the Vet is my least favorite thing! First off, my doctor is pretty stern. The nurses are very nice and they all love me. And what is with the slippery metal table they put me on? It is WAY too high to be considered safe. Right? I mean, some pups and kitties go to the Vet when they are already hurt. That table is an accident waiting to happen. A visit to the Vet should mean getting healed not getting injured. And what if I want to make a break for it? Ugh! I am not looking forward to this...at all!

  2. hey Teddy Bear,

I hear you. I mean, taking dog blood, what's that all about? But think of the bright side - once it is over you won't have to go back for a real long time. And, by going, you stay healthy and happy! So, I guess with everything, you have to take the good with the bad. Just make your humans give you lots of stringy cheese to take your mind off of the shots.

  3. Our vet gets down in the floor with us - we like that and really like her. Ok, giving blood is not a lot of fun, but they distract us with ear scratches and treats.

  4. Our woofies are going to do that next week. Bummer, but it keeps them safe and healthy.

  5. Teddy--I feel for you. No fun on the blood thing. Vet offices aren't the funnest place on earth--I say, stick close to your humans--they really don't like taking you there either--try not to be too upset, and it'll be over before you know it! Maybe your humans--even the stern ol vet--will give you some extra special treats for going thru such a thing!

  8. Hey Teddy: I just went to the doggie doctor last week for the same thing as you! I don't like it either, but it wasn't so bad. Maybe if you look sad enough, mom will take some extra treats with her for you while there. I totally agree about that nasty table - we need something soft and cushy, don't you think??

  9. Hi, Teddy!
    I know how you feel!
Vet visits are not very funny!
    But sure we need them!
    Good luck!
    I hope everything goes well!

  10. I absolutely hate the vet, too! But she has a table that goes up and down but it is still slippery! Insist on LOTS of treats and sympathy after!

  11. I used to like my vet very much but I remember her now as the person who operated on me last year. So, I dont like her anymore.

I especially dont like swallowing those big tablets that keeps away the worms. I mean why do they have to make it so big and then force it through my throat. Plus, they do this to me every 3 months!
