Week four in the garden

It's been four weeks since my Daddy planted our vegetable garden.  Everything is coming along great!  The jalapenos have finally germinated and pushed their way through the dirt.  We have been eagerly waiting for them.  The only sad news that I have to report regarding our garden is that someone seems to have been nibbling on one of the strawberries.  The other sad news is that my sister Sierra likes to dig up the organic fertilizer that the veggies need so my Daddy had to put a fence around our garden.  What a bummer!  As you can see from the photo below Sierra still has not learned her lesson.  Can you believe she is running across the raised bed?  The nerve!  We also saw these cute pups today.  They must not live too close because we haven't met them before.  I hope they come by more often!

  1. Beautiful garden Teddy! Your dad's doing such a nice job. Maybe Sierra would listen to you if you tell her to stop digging up the fertilizer.

Btw, my mom also is trying to cultivate her own little garden in the little space in front of our house. But, she prefers flowering plants.

  2. You need to wait until the strawberries are big and red and juicy. Then you can nibble on them.

  4. Sierra just doesn't seem to have the gardener's zen that you do...maybe the best you can hope for is that she ignores the garden all together. Hopefully the strawberry nibbler will not persist...could it be birds or a squirrel? or do you think it is your Sister?

  5. Thank goodness you're nibbling at the strawberries and not the jalapenos, Teddy! That could be painful!

    Love ya lots,
