Today we...

...went to Uncle Bey Bey's house. We all had lots of fun running around, playing, and chasing each other.
Auntie Sheila looked confused when she couldn't find the end of my tail. No way, you're not going to bite an Eskie's tail that easy. My tail is curled for safety.
Daddy was practicing some worship songs while we waited for Mommy to get back with Grandma from shopping. As you can see, it doesn't take long for Sierra to get comfortable. She will always find a soft place to sit.
After a very yummy dinner, we all rested and napped before it was time to come home.
So far, it's been a pawesome barkday weekend.

Sierra's Scoop

As you may already know, this past weekend we went to our favorite place. Lake Tahoe is so great this time of year for hiking. I'm not a lover of long hikes but I always do my best to keep up. The last time we hiked this trail, Daddy had to carry me for the last one and a half miles due to two broken nails that were not healed enough for a hike like this one.
Once we reached the top of Tahoe Rim Trail, I took a much needed rest in the shade while Teddy Bear went rock climbing and squirrel hunting. I was so exhausted afterwards, I almost slept right through dinner. We had a blast.

Today's we harvested...

Several heirloom tomatoes, two cucumbers, and 1 giant zucchini.
What do you love most about Mondays? I love Mondays because it's a good day to catch up on rest from the weekend.

Sierra's Scoop

There once was a girl named Sierra,
who was fuzzy and white,
and wore thin black mascara.
Whenever she rested in her house,
it had to be somewhere soft,
like a bed or even a couch.
All day long she napped like Sleeping Beauty,
so all day long she could dream
of her favorite foodies.

P.S. Here is an update on what Mommy did with yesterday's harvest. She roasted the tomatoes and put them into the freezer for marinara sauce and tomato soup for the winter. She used the bell pepper for beef fajitas tonight. She shredded the zucchini for zucchini bread. And the cucumbers will go into a salad to be eaten at dinner.

Happy Labor Day

I was very happy to see Daddy when I woke up this morning. An extra day with Daddy? Wow! Daddy enjoyed his day off and didn't do too much work...just hung up two sets of curtain rods and panels, mowed the lawn, and worked in the garden. We couldn't think of a picture that showed Daddy resting. So we thought these would work. They are pictures from our day at the beach on Saturday.
If you biggify this picture, you can see that there is a huge smile on Daddy's face. This was Sierra's first time in the ocean.
