Hi Cousin Kobe

Yesterday we all went over to Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean's house for a bbq. It was so much fun to see Cousin Kobe...it had been a while. He is doing somewhat better. He is still struggling with trust issues. He's been outside in his backyard for two weeks...to afraid to come in. We all wish we could know what happened before he came to his furever family. He sure was happy to see us and we were glad to have some fun in the sun.

Tahoe fun

While Kobe was missing, we were a little too sad to post how much we fun we all had. Kobe loves playing with Sierra. Daddy always says that Sierra has some Boxer in her. What do you think?

Kobe is OK!!!!!!

Mommy went to Tahoe with Auntie Kim and Cousin Josh tonight and when they got to the cabin Kobe was just standing at the end of the driveway. He must have come back after we all left last Sunday and waited for our return. After about 30 minutes of keeping his distance, Kobe just walked up to Josh. Cousin Josh quickly grabbed him and carried him to the warmth Mommy's truck.
Do you remember the big white dog named Lexus we see every time we go to Tahoe? Well her Mommy cared for Kobe and brought him a dogloo, plastic kennel, and blankets for shelter (temperatures dropped to below zero this week). He dined on bacon and tuna too. Lexus' Mommy is one cool lady. We are very grateful that there were people looking out for Kobe all week. We are beyond happy and are so thankful for all of your positive thoughts and prayers for Kobe.

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everyone, it's Sierra. I have been thinking a lot about last weekend. Lake Tahoe is always such a fun place to visit. The water is so cold that it tastes like the bottled stuff. Daddy tossed a stick into the Lake to see if I would fetch it. I could only go in chest deep before I started to shiver. We are still so sad and confused why Cousin Kobe ran away. His loving family is still waiting to hear about his well being and appreciate all your positive thoughts.

Lake Tahoe Recap

We love seeing Alexis every time we go to Lake Tahoe. She hangs out in front of her cabin all day.

Come on, Kobe, I'll show the way around Lake Tahoe.

Kobe did not like the water one bit.

This is was the closest Daddy

was able to get to Kobe.

Hi Miss Newfie, it's a pleasure to meet you. You sure are a beauty.

P.S. Auntie Kim hasn't heard any news about Kobe. Please keep your paws crossed for him. A big winter storm is headed to Lake Tahoe on Wednesday.

Please say a prayer...

...for Cousin Kobe. We had a pawesome weekend in Lake Tahoe. Although there wasn't any snow, we had plenty of fun hiking and playing. By Sunday afternoon we were in get ready to go home mode. Auntie Kim was doing laundry. Daddy was bringing up firewood from downstairs. Mommy was sweeping the deck. Kobe accidentally went down the stair and took off. Mommy and Daddy ran for him but it was too late. He stayed close to our cabin but wouldn't let anyone get close enough to catch him. (We don't know Kobe's whole story but we know that he's suffered some sort of abuse...physical or emotional, we don't know). This went on for almost 6 hours. We tried EVERYTHING...we all went for a walk and of course Kobe followed but again, he wouldn't let any of the humans get close enough to catch him. Auntie Kim and Uncle Sean left in the early evening due to work responsibilities tomorrow. We stayed until 8pm but because it was dark, it was just too hard to see where Kobe was going. And would you believe that it started snowing as we were leaving? So please keep your paws crossed that Kobe is safe and warm. Please also pray that he will let someone get close enough to catch him. We are all eagerly waiting for the call. A three hour drive home always seems to go by very quickly. But as Daddy said, when you're sad, three hours seems like forever.

Where's the snow?

I'm not trying to be a party pooper but we came all the way to Lake Tahoe to play in the snow but so far all we could find was a small patch of melting ice. Our new Cousin Kobe is here and we've been lounging around a lot today. The middle of January at Lake Tahoe should not look like this. Where is all the fluffy stuff? I want to go climb a mountain. I bet I can find some snow if we go for a long hike. Come on everybody, let's go.
