Week twenty eight in the garden

All of our lettuce are in full bloom.
Our butternut squash plant stretch all the way across the garden and climbed its way up to the wisteria tree.
Our biggest butternut squash is beginning to change color.
The strawberries are still coming along.
We hope our watermelon is ready to be harvested soon.
There are still quite a few zucchini growing.
And lots of marvel stripe heirloom tomatoes.
Look at the size of our perilla plant. It's bigger than me!
Our basil plant is bigger than me too. Mommy needs to get busy and make some pesto with all this basil.
And our lovely sweet potatoes. They are doing great.
We hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend!!!

The only vegetable growing in our side garden is the mustard spinach. Mom needs a lesson in Gardening 101.
