Week eighteen in the garden

Daddy put up a little shade for our veggie garden. This shade is supposed to cool the temperature by fifteen degrees. Daddy told me that tomatoes don't do well when it's too hot that sounds like me). We hope the shade helps the tomatoes. The green beans are growing like crazy. Our basil is doing a lot better! Daddy's friend told him the secret to having a fruitful basil tree. You have to trim off the flowers. We have lots of little cucumbers. Mommy eats them plain or she'll put them in salads. Salads are not my favorite thing to eat. Look how well the sweet potato plants are doing! I think I can smell them underneath all that dirt!

  3. The garden looks abundant! The packing "peanuts" from the box I am sending you are biodegradable and your dad can put them in the garden where they will help aerate the soil as they melt away (or they can just be dissolved in warm water)...but they are NOT good for dogs to eat!
