Today we...

...helped Grandpa again. We set some tile on his kitchen countertops. Mommy and Daddy say that it's very pretty. They hope to be done with everything by the end of this week. Mommy forgot her camera so she was only able to take a picture with her phone.
Mommy wants to thank everyone for their kind wishes. She is feeling better thanks to a cold bug remedy that her friend recommended. She thinks it's only meant for sick people since you can't smell or taste anything when you're really sick. This was her concoction...raw honey, raw apple cider vinegar, water, and 1 garlic clove minced. Daddy said it smelled awful but Mommy couldn't smell a thing.
We hope everyone had a great Labor day weekend!

Week twenty four in the garden

Boy were we surprised to see another cucumber today! Daddy planted cucumber seeds in the smaller raised bed (the one with the sweet potatoes). We also have a cantaloupe growing. This is very exciting! We still have a lot of green beens growing. The tomatoes are getting bigger and bigger too. Mommy can't wait to make more marinara sauce. Our sweet onions seem to be doing really well. Daddy thinks they'll be ready to harvest before the first frost. You can also see the basil plants behind the sweet onions. The basil are doing great!
Mommy has caught the cold bug and she hasn't been feeling well for the passed few days. She's so great because she has walked with us every night. Today was a beautiful day. We only turned on the A/C in the late afternoon and just for a few hours. Mommy even said it was a little cool during our walk tonight.

Today we...

...helped Grandpa. Remember when Mommy and I went to pick up granite tile for Grandpa the other day? Well, today we helped him put everything together, almost. We had to lay out all the tile, about 75 pieces. That is a lot! Grandpa, Daddy, and Mommy started putting pieces onto the kitchen countertop to see which pieces went well together. They all said it was like putting together a puzzle but much harder. They did this for hours. Mommy even forgot to take a picture of the kitchen countertop because everyone napped after all the hard work. We may go back and help Grandpa set the tile. We went for a late late walk tonight so we got to walk without leashes. Woohoo!!!

Fun on a Friday

God must have heard our prayers because it was a lot cooler today. We are all so very thankful! It was cool enough outside that Sierra and I played outside while Daddy took care of a slight problem. We have a tree right in front of our house that drops what Daddy calls, "stink berries." Daddy says they smell like vomit. He has to pick up these berries every few days, other wise Mommy and Daddy will drive over then and they will get stuck on their wheels. Mommy thought it would be fun to have a photo shoot while we were outside. Sierra never cooperates but I sat perfectly still for Mommy. During our walk tonight it was 70 degrees and there was a cool breeze. Life is good again.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for nap time with Daddy. Mommy and I were gone for most of the day picking up Grandpa's granite tile and visiting with Mommy's old co-workers. That didn't give me much time to nap during the day. It was 91.5 degrees in our house when we got home. Whew, that's HOT! Mommy turned on the AC and the fan right away. Now it is 82 degrees and it feels pretty good. We were all panting after our walk tonight. It was still hot outside. Daddy and I took our positions on the floor right when we got home. This is my favorite place to be right after our walk. Why? Because the fan is right in front of me and the Ac is to the left of me. Daddy and I have been napping ever since...except when Mommy wanted to take pictures of us napping. I love being next to Daddy especially when Mommy is just a few feet away! Here's hoping to a cooler weekend!

Helping Mommy...

...put together all the packages for Paw It Forward. I made sure that every toy and treat met my seal of approval. I really really wanted to play with all the new toys but Mommy said they weren't for me. I hope all my friends enjoy all the fun new toys that we picked. The weather hasn't been over 100 degrees this week. We are all thankful.
