Week eleven in the garden

Well it didn't take Mommy and Daddy long to make up for the worst Sadderday ever!  Today we went back to Pinecrest.  My Daddy caught his limit of five Trout.  Yummy!  Mommy is going to make some for dinner tomorrow night.  Sierra and I had a great time roaming around the fishing hole while my Daddy fished.  Daddy says that I am a pro at being on the canoe now.  I even stood up on the top edge and hung over the side on the ride back across the lake.  Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better we went for a great hike along the lake.  Everybody slept on the drive home except Daddy.  After dinner, we checked on our veggie garden.  It was so pawesome to finally see the fruits of our labor.  We picked one tomato and one zucchini.

Sadderday

Now I know why they call it Sadderday.  Ever since I was a puppy, I either went to work with Daddy or stayed at home with Mommy.  First, Daddy went to work.  Then Mommy went to run errands.  Then they both came home.  Then they both left again.  They they both came home and we went for a walk and then had dinner.  Now Mommy is leaving again but I am so glad Daddy is staying home with us.  Mommy is going back to her friend's house for a BBQ.  That is where my Parents went earlier.  All of this being left alone for most of the day makes me one SAD puppy.  I wonder how they will make up for it?

Fun on a Friday

Today is my Daddy's birthday.  Mommy baked a sugarless cake for Sierra and me so we wouldn't feel left out.  After we sang Happy Birthday to my Daddy we got to have our cake.  It sure was yummy!  We got Daddy a fishing vest.  He loves it and can't wait to use it this weekend.  Milo's mommy and daddy came to dinner with us so we are going to send a piece of birthday cake home for Milo.  I know that he will love it.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my sister, Sierra.  We rescued her almost one year ago from a shelter.  Now she is my sidekick, she makes every day a little more fun.  We love to play.  Sometimes, she wants to play when I don't want to play.  I bark at her and tell her no.  Sometimes she won't leave me alone but I know that it's all because she is still a puppy.  Since she is just over a year old, I have a lot to teach her and she has a lot to learn!  She follows my every move and wants to do everything that I do.  It's great to have someone who looks up to me. I try to be the best big brother I can.

Today we

were home alone for 6 hours.  Can you believe my Mommy left us for that long?  She spent the day with her niece, our cousin, Jennifer.  They had breakfast at Mimi's Cafe (followed by a walk through the mall).  I wonder why they went out to eat at my Mommy's cafe?  Does Mommy have a cafe that I don't know about?  I was SO excited when my Mommy came home.  I jumped on her and gave her lots of kisses.  And yes, she does appreciate my kisses.  To make up for being gone so long Mommy let me have my an natural beef tendon.  Yummy!

I am still...

recuperating from yesterday.  I am still exhausted from the pawesome day at Pinecrest.  I slept almost all day.  Wanna know what woke me up?  My Mommy's delicious garlic roast chicken with veggies.  It smelled SO delicious!  I had to get up and see for myself.  Even though I am exhausted I was still very excited for our daily walk.  Who doesn't like walks even then they're dead tired?  It's one of the best things in the world!
