Look what...

...came in the mail? Our seed potatoes. We are very excited to get them into the dirt.

What?! Those don't look like strawberries to me. I can't wait to see little red berries hanging off those vines.

Happy gardening, everyone!

Sierra's Scoop

Our new house doesn't have a lot of soft thing to lay on since were not quite moved in yet. But there have been a few of these sheets laying around. Over the last couple weeks you can usually find me laying on one of them. Hopefully I will get a couch or a my bed to lay on soon since I get the feeling we are moving in this weekend. Yaaayyyyy.

Whatcha... there, Daddy?

Sierra is also wondering what Daddy has.

Daddy is a Snacker. We usually don't splurge on snacks but since we've all been working so hard we decided to treat ourselves. Daddy picked sardines and crackers. Mommy loves seafood but isn't a big fan of sardines. More for us! I don't know what you're missing, Mommy. Sierra and I both give sardines a paws up!

Are your pawrents Snackers?

Why is there...

...tape on the ceiling?

What do you mean we're not done painting?

Would you believe that the corners of the ceiling were darker than the rest of the ceiling? So Daddy had to paint the hallway, entryway, and kitchen ceiling again today. Mommy had to get 1 more quart of paint. She hopes this is the last time she'll have to buy paint for a long, long time.

We are getting closer... our moving date. We moved a ton of boxes to our new home today. Whew. Thankfully, Mommy has been bringing over 5-6 boxes every time we visit our new home. It's a good thing that most of them are unpacked. But do you see the boxes behind me? There are a lot! Our big move is next weekend. We can't believe it's almost time. Mommy keeps saying it doesn't feel real yet.

Since it's been raining...

...I've been doing a lot of this. We've heard that Lake Tahoe has received record levels of snow. I've got my paws crossed that we'll be able to go play in it before the warmer weather takes it all away.

I never knew...

...what a mountain of laundry was until last week. Mommy was always so on top of things...clothes out of the dryer, folded, and then into the drawers they went. Ever since last week, there has been a mountain of laundry on laundry day. It doesn't stay out for longer than a day but is getting in the way of my favorite spot on the couch. I decided to take matters into my own hands and...

just lay on top of the laundry. Maybe Mommy will get the hint. What do you think?

Sierra's Scoop

Hi everyone, it's Sierra! We believe in the Power of the Paw. We are so very thankful for all the prayers and positive vibes sent to Uncle Bey Bey. We are surrounded by an amazing group of friends. Thank you!!! Grandpa received a phone call just before noon today. A nice man and his family had found Uncle Bey Bey. They were very happy to see the flyers that had Grandpa's phone number. Grandpa went to pick him up and thanked the nice man and his family. Grandma said that Uncle Bey Bey has been sleeping all day. He must be tired from his adventure away from home. Now I think it's time for me to go take a nap.

Monday, March 21, 2011

Please keep your paws crossed...

...for Uncle Bey Bey. He never had a big boy surgery so he loves to go out and explore. He's done this a few times and has always been found and returned home safely. However, he did not have his collar on today. Grandpa was cleaning cobwebs and had the front door open while Grandma was washing the dishes. Grandma went into the living to check on Uncle Bey Bey and they realized he was gone. They've been out looking for him several times tonight. Mommy and Daddy made flyers and put them up near Grandma and Grandpa's house. We pray that Uncle Bey Bey is safe and that he'll be at one of the animal shelters when Grandpa gets there tomorrow. We believe in the Power of the Paw.

Here is Daddy...

...putting the finishing touches on some of the trim. Is it true? Are you really done with all the painting?

After 3 gallons of primer and 18 gallons of paint...Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa are finally done painting our new home. Can you believe it only took two weeks? Now it's time for more packing.

I was with...

... my pawrents at our new house working almost all day long on Saturday. In fact, we worked so long on Saturday that it became Sunday before I had a chance to log into my bloggy. I helped Mommy take some great pictures of me and Daddy in between her working. I was really enjoying my new Territory while Mommy was putting the finishing touches on the paint.

Daddy didn't do much painting today, instead he was installing the closet organizer and cedar flooring in the master bedroom. Wow that cedar makes the whole room smell good.

I have to get some sleep now so I am fresh for tomorrow.

Friday, March 18, 2011

There's nothing better... do than help Mommy with the laundry on this rainy day. It's supposed to rain for the next 9 days. Can you believe that? I hope the rain doesn't cut into my walkie time.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I hope your day was filled with lots of corned beef and green beer. Since most of our things are in boxes, this was the only green thing Mommy could find. Really, Mommy? Did it have to have white flowers? And shouldn't Sierra be wearing the flowers since she's the girl? Oh, she's no where to be found because it's bath day? Got it...Teddy Bear...over and out.

Sierra's Scoop

Although our big moving day is not for another week or so, Mommy and Daddy have been taking a few boxes to our new home every day. Look what I saw peeking through? Our pink flamingo! I just had to get it out of there.

I've almost... it!

Since our fridge is new, we're fortunate there was nothing inside. Mommy and Daddy are going to get a new, working fridge this weekend.

Monday, March 14, 2011

Uh oh

Do you see something wrong with this picture? An empty fridge inside of a house seems like an oxymoron. Our new fridge was 75 degrees when we opened it today. Mommy and Daddy were very sad. It looks like they'll have to take it back and find another one.

Sunday, March 13, 2011

There sure was...

...a lot going on today. As soon as we got to our future home Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa got to work.

The hallway was the pawfect place to snoopervise today. I kept a close eye on Mommy who was in one of the rooms next to me while Daddy was way out in the front room. Since I fell asleep... was Sierra's turn to supervise.

Daddy's cleaning up. That means it's time to go home!

Saturday, March 12, 2011

It's all...

starting to come together. We can't wait for Mommy and Daddy to be done painting. It's starting to cut in to our play time.

Not so Fun on a Friday

Oh how embarrassing! I caused a big scene at the Vet today. I was crying and shaking and leaving pee-mail all over the place. They even had to muzzle me because the dolphin cry I was letting out was close to shattering the windows. I know it sounds like a little too much drama for me. But this is all because when I was a just a baby I had to stay overnight after my big boy surgery. That was one of my very first doctor visits and I had never been away from Mommy and Daddy before. So now whenever I'm there, I am always ready to run out the door the first chance I get. At least I made it home safely tonight and my yearly heart worm test came back negative. Now we're off to Teddy's Territory for some more painting. See you soon!

All this work...

...leaves an Eskie very tired. We've been going to our new home every night this week. Sierra and I are so excited to be there that we don't nap very much while Mommy and Daddy are working. So while Sierra is napping on Grandpa's couch, I can be found a few feet away from Mommy, hugging the hamper.

Sierra's Scoop

Do you have a favorite place to nap? I do. At night time, I sleep in my bed right next to Daddy. But after breakfast, I jump up onto the chaise part of Grandpa's sectional. That is where I nap for most of the day. It's super soft and comfy. There's a blanket for me to sleep on if I get cold and the leather stays nice and cold for when I get hot. So, tell me, where is your most favorite place to nap?

Monday, March 7, 2011

Happy Barkday to you...

Happy Barkday to you,
Happy Barkday dear Sierra,
Happy Barkday to you!!!
You are the bestest Sister any pup could ever ask for!!! I hope you enjoyed your blueberry cupcake and your new piggy stuffie. Oh and I hope you share your beef jerky with your favorite big Brother.

Painting Pawty...

...take two. We spent another day painting our new home. Do you see Daddy back there? He spent most of the day taping off carpet, molding, ceiling fans, light fixtures, cabinets, and just about everything else in the house.

Grandpa was able to start and finish the master bedroom. Look at him go!

Auntie Kim and Mommy spent most of the day putting on a second coat of primer in the extra bedrooms.

We love the color of our...I mean Mommy and Daddy's room. It's a soft blue called Arctic Stone.

And I'm happy to report that I helped paint today as well. My trousers and the tip of my very fluffy tail make great paint brushes.

Saturday, March 5, 2011

Do you like... new yard, Grandpa? I love it!!!

There's even a toilet in the backyard for humans. Both of my Grandpa's were at our new house today to help paint, clean, and to do some minor repairs.

Mommy and Daddy were amazed by how hard they worked.

Even after a 12 hour day they never let up.

Uncle Bey Bey came over too to supervise and to take a little nap with Grandma.

Let's Get This Pawty Started

Have you ever noticed that our tails look like perfect paint brushes? I have and I can't wait to try mine out at our painting Pawty this weekend. Tomorrow I am going to see my new home for the first time and I can't wait. I will be sure to tell you all about it and I'll make sure that Mommy takes some great pictures. I'm so excited that I'm panting just thinking about it. As a matter of fact, I think our new home will be called Teddy's Territory from now on. What are your plans for the weekend?

Did you know that today is the Day of Peace? We found out from our wonderful friend, Siku. Started on Facebook with hopes of spreading around the globe, it is the brainchild of Stephen D. Shoemaker, a 17 year-old, and now has over 1 million people committed to a day of peace. For just one day he asks “ that we hold our tongues. A day where we ignore others' shortcomings and made a valiant effort to be kind and understanding. ...A day where we all get along.” The White Dog Army wishes that a special day was not needed but as Quinn points out, “one day is a start!”

Shoemaker’s proposition is simple:
One day, March 4th, we all stick to three simple rules that will make the world a little bit more bearable.

Rule #1. Say not a single unkind thing about anyone or anything. If at all possible, try not to even think a nasty thought. If we do, reflect on why it was that we thought to say it in the first place.

Rule #2. Show everyone we cross paths with some genuine human compassion. Be it with a smile or kind words, just spread some love.

Rule #3. Make not one person the exception to the rule. Not everyone deserves to have roses thrown at their feet and have a holiday in their honor, but nobody deserves to feel alone. Reach out. Talk to someone new. Care about them, and we will be cared for in return.

Are you up for the challenge? The White Dogs and everyone here are going to make a vigorous effort to do this. We ask you to join us in the attempt.

Stephen hopes, “This can be big. If we all band together, well, maybe we can all start living a little bit nicer lives. Maybe this won't work for more than one day; maybe it will. I honestly don't know what will happen, but what I do know is this: if we can get at least one day of happiness and peace out of this, well, I'd more than consider that a success.”

This is not intended to be a "Let's be nice for one day and go back to our old ways the day after" kind of thing. It is meant to give us all a little more incentive to be better people.
This is not a hippie or a religious movement. This is just an attempt at brightening the world up a bit.

You have no reason why you can’t do it. None of us do.
Thank you all for your kind words, support, and enthusiasm,
~Stephen Shoemaker

We hope you'll make every day a Day of Peace.

Mommy and Daddy have been...

...working very hard. I thought I would treat them to some milkshakes. Vanilla for Mommy and strawberry for Daddy. Of course they saved some for Sierra and me. But how am I supposed to drink from a straw?

Now that's better.

Making sure I get every last bit. It sure was yummy!
