Something funny...

...happened tonight. Daddy came out to the living while he was brushing his teeth. When Mommy looked over this is what she saw.
It's okay, Daddy. We like to fall asleep...
...in random places too.

Sierra's Scoop

Hi friends, it's Sierra here. Did everyone have a great weekend? I sure did. We went to Shaver Lake and played in the water and it was a blast. Daddy and Grandpa went fishing while Teddy and I were beach combing. Even though it was too cold for kayaking, we had a fun time just hanging out on shore. Too bad no one caught any fish while we were there. At least we were able to explore the area by walking along the nature trail. I guess it is safe to say that since no fish were caught, Teddy and I probably enjoyed being at the Lake more than every one else.

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day everyone. Can you guess what we did this holiday weekend? We loaded up our 4Runner and went on a long drive to a place we have never been to before. Once we were in the mountains, Mommy unclipped my seat belt so I could hang out the window and take in the scenery.
We ended up at a place called Dinkey Creek. It was getting dark by the time we got there so we all just ate dinner and relaxed by the fire. It was getting colder and colder when all of a sudden a few snow flakes fell on my head.
The next morning we woke up to a fluffy surprise. When Daddy unzipped the tent we couldn't believe our eyes. At first we thought we were still dreaming until we took our first snowy steps.
Sierra was just as happy as I was to run around and play in it. We could tell right away that this was going to be a pawesome camping trip. We can't wait to tell you about the rest of our wonderful trip.

Week fifteen in the garden

Just look at these beauties. I think we're on track for lots and lots of tomatoes this summer. (Mommy is doing a happy dance).
Our second crown of broccoli looks just about ready to harvest.
Looks like someone likes our basil as much as we do. Maybe we'll have better luck next year.
We were to excited to see our first zucchini today!

Daddy saw...

these two beauties at the Bass Pro Shop the other day and had to take a picture of them. They are very majestic. How cool would it be to be part of a wolfie pack out in the wilderness? One can dream....

The weather has been...

...very cool and breezy for the past week or so. We love that it's cool enough in the day time to play outside. We love running around the backyard while Mommy works in the garden. We hope the cooler weather sticks around for a while.

Mommy thinks...

...I sleep in weird pawsitions. She always says I like to be comfy cozy and leaned up next to the wall or the couch or the table.
I like to be snuggly next to things when I nap. That way no one can sneak up on me or accidentally step on my tail. (Because we all know how clumsy humans can be).

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday everyone, it's Sierra! Look what I brought home from the walkie today. It's a really great stick. It's not too thick and it's dry enough to crunch in two so I can share with Teddy Bear. Am I a nice sister or what?

I've got to...

...figure out how to get on the other side of the fence. Do you have any suggestions?

Week fourteen in the garden

Mommy loves hydrangeas. They are one of her favorites. She's been wanting them for a while and finally bought some from our favorite vendor at Farmer's Market. I think I know just where to put it.
We're so relieved that this batch of radishes are doing well. Our last batch didn't survive. Daddy blames it on the seeds
Mommy thinks the baby limes are adorable.
We've got a whole lotta thyme on our hands.
We hope you all had a great weekend. Wasn't the Ring of Fire cool? We tried to get some pictures but none of them turned out very nice.

Kittens!!!

This picture is a little fuzzy but if you biggify it and look closely, you can see a white kittie. Boy oh boy, is she cute! She has 3 siblings and a beautiful Mama. We see them almost every day and Mommy wishes we could bring them food and treats...better yet, she wants to bring them home with us. Daddy says that wild kitties should be left alone. (Insert sad face). Have you had any experience with wild kitties? Should we just leave them be or is it ok to bring them some food and treats?

We love...

...napping on the tile floor on hot summery days. It surprises us that the tile stays cool even on those unbearable days. I like to rotate between the dining room and my little cave underneath the computer desk. Sierra goes back and forth on the couch and the dining room floor. Where do you like to nap during the day?

Sierra's scoop

Uh Oh... well I guess the cat is out of the bag. It is now official, I am Daddy's favorite. I didn't want Teddy to find out this way, but the evidence clearly shows that I am definitely the favorite. I know Teddy thinks he's the automatic favorite because he is one smart, fluffy alpha male. Are you a Mama's Boy or a Daddy's Girl or a Mama's Girl or a Daddy's Boy?

We spent Mother's Day...

...at Pinecrest. First things first. I had to get in the water as soon as we got there. Did you know that I never ever drink water from a water bottle when we're there? I only drink from the lake. The mountain spring water is cold and so very refreshing.
This looks like a great place to stop for lunch.
Can you believe my pawrents let me sleep like this? They think it's hilarious.
Sierra loved sitting in Daddy's chair.
Grandpa and Joey had fun on the kayaks. Daddy is still trying to figure out how to make it so that Sierra and I can go on the kayaks. They are a little slippery right now. We can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Week thirteen in the garden

As you can see, our potato plants are doing very well. They look super healthy and are sure to reap a heavy harvest.
The same can be said about our tomato plants. Daddy was wise to space out the plants like this, giving them plenty of room to grow is definitely going to pay off. I already see flowers in bloom so I know tomatoes are on the way.
I know the broccoli plant doesn't grow very fast but this broccoli flower seemed to have appeared overnight.
All hail the kale. The mightiest in all our garden. No matter how much we eat, it just keeps growing and growing.
Ok, so here's the weird thing about our "sparsely parsley" plant. It has been really stretching out the last few weeks, and that's fine with me as long all those branches start filling in soon. Mommy wants some parsley already.
***HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the beautifully amazing mommies out there!!!***

Guess who...

...has a boo boo? Well, technically it's not really a boo boo but Mommy insisted on bandaging up my front paw. For the past few days, Mommy has noticed that my front paw is sometimes very wet. I only lick it when no one is looking. I'm pretty good about not licking wounds and stuff like that. (I didn't even need a cone after my big boy surgery when I was a wee little pup). Mommy told me to stop but I just couldn't. Then last night Mommy saw a little bit of blood on the hairs between my paw pads. (Hee hee). So on went the medicine and the bandage to prevent me from licking. I've been good and haven't tried taking off the bandage. Mommy thinks it's an allergy because the same thing happened last summer. Daddy thinks I stepped on a bee. It's my secret and I'll never tell.

Boy, oh boy...

...if feels like Summer is already here. Besides camping and fresh veggies and fruits from our garden, Summer is our least favorite season. It was ninety degrees today and it's going to be even hotter tomorrow. (Insert sad face).
The A/C has been on all day. The best thing for us to do is nap directly under the fan and wait for the evening. Atleast it will be a little cooler by then. (Paws crossed).

What's that...

...I see on the counter? A piece of jerky? Mommy must have forgotten to give me my last piece. But you know who didn't forget? That's right, me. I can smell it just taunting me. So I had to do a bit of counter surfing to let Mommy know that she forgot about it. Can I have it now, please? The things we have to do to get their attention sometimes!

Sierra's Scoop

Hi friends, it's Sierra here to tell you my latest sensational story. So all year long I like to lay down in front of this wall if ivy. I think Daddy was wondering what made me pick this spot time and time again. Well, today I think he finally figured it out. As you can see the purple flowers are in full bloom again. This only happens once a year, so who would want to miss out on that. The lovely smell and incredible beauty is enough to put a smile on anybody's face. Plus, I didn't want to miss out on the obvious potential for an unforgettable photo shoot. Mommy wanted me to ask every one if they know what the name is of the purple flower ivy is? We would be very grateful if someone could tell us.

A shady nap

Hi there everyone. As you can tell Sierra and I found some nice and shady places to nap this afternoon. It was pretty hot so we just wanted to sleep all day. Every time I got up to walk around, my paw pads would get all sweaty and I wasn't even panting yet. I guess I should get used to it since summer is almost here.

Week twelve in the garden

Today was a busy day of transplanting. First we started with the brandywine tomatoes.
Then came the basil. It is so tiny now that it's hard to believe it will grow to be as big as us.
Last but not least were the mini bells. They look ready to flower already.
Mommy might harvest this radish for dinner tomorrow.
Daddy, are you going to let me in so I can snoopervise?
