Not so Fun on Friday

Last night we read that one of our friends, Charlie went over the Rainbow Bridge. It was very unexpected. We are still in shock. Please go on over and show some love to his Mommy.

Beyond the Rainbow by CG

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful--lush and green and wide!
And running though the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be~
My worn tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Run free, Charlie, we will ALWAYS remember you!

Burning a candle in remembrance of Charlie.

  2. Teddy.
I am very sad too. I did not expect to read about Charlie. I was hoping everything was going to be ok with him.
He will be always in our hearts.
    The poem is beautiful.

  3. Dear Teddy Bear,

This is a beautiful poem. I was in a public place when I tried to read this entry and had to stop a couple of times because I was getting teary-eyed. I read it again at home and cried.

I really miss Charlie, but you are right. He is in a much better place now. He is whole again and free of pain. I hope he is looking out for me because I think I'm the one who is broken at his passing.

Please give your Mommy, Daddy, and Sierra a kiss for me. Thank you for this wonderful tribute. I will light a candle tonight for Charlie.

    Love,
    Irene

  10. Teddy, that is a beautiful poem, and very touching. We didn't get to know Charlie, but it is a sad day when anyone leaves our world and travels across the bridge. Our paws are hugging you all,

  11. Teddy, this morning we saw your post about Charlie. We were shocked. We knew he had been having trouble this week, but we thought it was something that could be "fixed." My Mom cried this morning and she had to redo her face because she was about to go out for a visit with Casper and Ramses. Charlie's passing is all so sudden and unexpected. He was too young to go so soon.
